Yes I did do the fire test before starting the APU, tbh I did it twice, first once, and when I realized I had spare time before departure and before everyone was getting on board I did it again for the camera ;)
Recorded not as one flight, recorded during several flights, as you can see I wear long and short sleeves in it and there are different Captains in the video.
Matteo and I were scheduled to fly from Sicily to Rome, Fiumicino airport. It was our second day flying together, me from my home base in Sicily where I usually operate from and Matteo out-of-base for a week visiting us from Milano. Departing runway 07 cleared direct PNZ Vor after checking in to Roma frequency flying the Latina 4a arrival to Runway 16L.
I have flown this approach a couple of hundred times and know it by heart, what clearances we will get, next frequency, recognising the ATC controller's voice over the radio, throwing in one of the few Italian words I know “Buon Lavoro” before being switched to tower frequency 127.875
“Cleared to land runway 16L” “When vacated, standard one” meaning that we will automatically switch to ground frequency and await for them to contact us for taxi and stand clearance.
“I always think of that animated movie, “Cars” - Thoughts that go through to my head while taxiing in Fiumicino airport.
This is my first edited video, I am learning from scratch watching youtube tutorials and learning from my own misstakes. KZbin is a complete new field and I am so excited to share this with you and see where this might take me. I hope I can look back at this video in a year time and see how far I have progressed.
(For the picky one, no cameras mounted during flight, set up on the ground and not replaced nor touched before parking brake set and all checklist done, not in the way or bothering either of the pilots).

That’s not true. For my 2nd flight I flew on Pan Am in 1972. After that I wanted to be an air traffic controller. I would sit in my backyard watching planes fly by all day long. I love flight simulators but have no desire to be a pilot.

I've always wanted to be a pilot, since I was 5 years old. But my dream will never come true because my eyes are really bad and I have some health issues. But I've always wanted to work on a plane because I just love it so much! I decided to become a flight attendant and I hope that will work. Being on a plane makes me feel safe and being up in the air makes me free, it's the most beautiful feeling in the world. You inspire me, thank you for this video!

If you have enough eyesight to be flight attendant you have enough to be a pilot, you don't need to have perfect 20/20 vision to be a pilot you can wear glasses and still be a pilot.

Very nice video! I have worked in the industry since 2002 and the best part of it has been talking to pilots. They always have time to talk for few minutes, especially if it's about flying and airplanes! Recently talked with a pilot who was transitioning to the 777-3 and he was a ball of energy. Hi Maria! Awesome video! Although for me painful to watch. I'm 18 right now and it's hard to see my dreams flying away(about -5 dioptris on my sight), especially if you spend more than 5 hours daily thinking, learning, dreaming about this, just can't live without it.. But I most probably wont become a pilot anyway sadly :(. at least I start my glider training this year, can't wait for it! I love how gentle you are with the yoke! I've seen so many really grab it and hold it so hard, and of course, everyone has their way of doing things, but I really liked the way you hand flew her! Nice and gentle, small inputs! Hopefully I'll sit in a cockpit myself one day. I've always wanted to be a pilot, got thousands upon thousands of hours in flight sim, and I love it to peaces! I can not live without aviation. It's more than a hobby for me. Non aviators sometimes ask me how I can sit for so many hours straight, and just look out of the windows while in cruise, but I just find it so fascinating and beautiful! I have some problems that stop me from getting the class 1 medical, and it's heartbreaking. People say "just think of another job" or "What about being an air traffic controller". I've always wanted to do ONE job, and ONE job only: Commercial Pilot. Hopefully everything will get sorted, and I'll be sitting there up front some day. When I'm flying, I always go out and say hi to the flight crew if they have the time. It's so funny seeing their faces when you come out (for example on a transatlantic flight) and ask what NAT track we're on today. Once after we landed and I went up there and told my story, they gave me the now useless flight plan and asked me to tell them what all the information was. It was so fantastic, and they where impressed. For me flying is not just a metal tube in the sky, or a form of transportation. It's a way of life. It's freedom. If you're still reading, thank you. I really enjoyed the video, and I hope you enjoy being in the worlds most beautiful office (I know you do, because other vice you wouldn't be there :) ) Cheers, Marcus
