I took the R66 to Hope to deliver food to stranded people who had to evacuate from their homes due to flooding. My parents had people stranded with them as well so I was able to transport them back with me to Abbotsford.

This is amongst the best footage available of the flooding. Better than any 'news' station and you did it while flying. Good commentary, good attitude, good everything. This should be on the news as it is real life now. Excellent.

I agree 100% it takes a privet pilot to show us what’s really going on yet the ones that get paid millions in media funding can’t seem to figure it out. It’s should show all how they regulate what they want you to see or not.

As awful as the American shooting in WI was, amazing how they get distracted by one event that only serves to divide them while other important issues inside and outside their country get totally ignored.
@athelwulfgalland
@athelwulfgalland 3 жыл бұрын
@@colingenge9999 There are many theories concerning why the American MSM does this sort of thing. I remember that in the 80s and 90s it wasn't like this at all. The most likely reason is due to the financial struggles of legacy media. Fewer people are buying newspapers or watching televised news UNLESS there's something with significant "shock potential." They can further this shock potential by polarizing the incidents with broad editorial interpretation. This theory completely ignores any repercussions that their polarizing viewpoints might make on the American population in favor of higher profit margins. It can also be said that the carefully crafted editorial interpretations of events influence alternative media sources that do not have the resources to independently verify or investigate the truth of an incident. Meanwhile social media is influenced by financial incentives to push legacy media stories on their platforms. On the other hand there are also theories that suggest that the US Government is directly influencing legacy media and visa vi social media. The purpose of which is to keep the civil populace divided, ignorant and to allow government to make sweeping financial and/or authoritarian powers grabs at their leisure. Stepping into conspiracy theory territory there are some that have even suggested and even more nefarious purpose behind everything. Some actually believe that this division, chaos, hyper-inflation, political flubs (like Afghanistan) is an intentional effort to spin-down American geopolitical influence and financial strength. The reasons vary across the board. Some say it's for a socialist takeover of US government. Others claim that it's to bolster the PRC's rise to prominence. I know that the US Government has wanted a compliant and docile population for a very long time. Sewing chaos and discord across the country while keeping the people ill informed of what is actually going on around the world is one way of accomplishing that regardless of the reasons. Still I'm pretty sure it's more about profits than anything. As far as the WI shooting goes, I agree, it was a tragic event. Two people lost their lives and a third was horribly maimed. A fourth was psychologically scarred for life and will remain a pariah for many years to come. Mr. Rittenhouse was young, dumb and naive to think that he could act as a third party that night. Regardless of how noble it might've sounded to embark on a self-appointed humanitarian mission to provide first-aid and conduct fire-fighting operations in the midst of a riot. Just being a third party that was uninvolved with the rioters made him a target but carrying a rifle while doing so put a huge bullseye on him.

@@athelwulfgalland you literally wrote a small "editorial" on editorials. From all I've read, blame 60 Minutes... Before 60 min came along "Real News" barely covered its own bills to keep the ball rolling, it wasn't exactly a high profit margin. Once big media figured out sensationalism, AKA "blood sells" it all went downhill fast and cue the 90% by volume commercials for big pharma, who'll stop advertising if they don't agree with the "programming". The other big issue is the majority of all "media", TV, Movie and Print is owned by 6 corporations. Guess how many lean which way? 👈🏽

@@athelwulfgalland great write up. I do believe alot of what is going on if for wealth. More for them and less for us. And probably a few spin offs in their favor. What they are??? Who knows. I look at it this way. We can't control that happens, but how can we learn from it and gain more wealth for ourselves?? Thanks for your input!!

Glad to see that they're making progress on the highways, hopefully we'll be able to get commercial vehicles soon to restock perishables in the stores but that might be a while. Our home is open to anyone in need. Could accommodate a family. Would like to see some coverage of Yarrow and Arnold communities if possible. " Canada: In every City / Towns across Canada there are connecting Deep Underground Military Bases (DUMBS) / Tunnels. When those DUMBs /Tunnels gets Flooded (for cleaning and sealing them up) you can expect to see scenarios of the likes in the Cities of Abbotsford, Merritt, Princeton, etc, etc in British Columbia. ..... ..... If you’re walking around your town/cities - stay away from the man holes. It could be connected to the Tunnels/Dumbs underground and the Allied Troops are blowing them up. Sometimes, you will see smoke or fire coming out of these holes. Or you will see sink holes in the middle of the streets. So be aware and steer clear. The cleanup is being done everywhere in Canada (large cities, small cities, small towns) wherever there are DUMBs and Tunnels. "

We had some local flooding, but we got off easy, I think. The corner of Broadway and Airport is still flooded (I live near there), but the closed roads inside the city are mainly low spots where the storm drains are backed up. Some people in that corner were still pumping water from their basements yesterday morning, and I think the one driveway near that corner is still under water. Was driving down Chilliwack Central on Tuesday night, and the water from the fields was nearly cresting the road in some spots.

16:21 HUGE THANKS to the emergency responders that rescued me from these mudslides! I was trapped in between that big slide westbound and the eastbound ones. Firefighters had me evacuate my vehicle on foot, and climb down the cliffside on ladder to the railroad below. Once we were down the ladder we all heard a loud "tsunami"-like crash sound from above where our cars were and the firemen where screaming "RUN!!" so we all booked it down the train tracks running for our lives thinking that we were about to get flushed out down there from the road above us! We ran a good distance before climbing back up onto the road (with a fire ladder) where it was "safer". I was absolutely gassed, and even as a runner have probably never ran so hard in my life. I can see now in this video that the mud slide did end up crashing over the train tracks behind us where we were running! Someone I was evacuating with actually fell behind a bit and got swept off their feet from the current of the incoming flood. They made it back okay thanks to the heroes (firefighters). Then after that we went for an ambulance ride to safer pickup location, as this still wasn't a stable place to be. Our ambulance got stuck, I assume where the road collapsed at 16:57. I was inside the back of it without any good windows plus it was dark outside, but the driver and the paramedic were panicking, freaking out, "we are running out of road! The road is giving way! We're gonna get washed out!" etc. Once again for the 2nd time that evening we all thought we were going to die. I called my loved ones for one last time right about now. After frantically reshuffling the emergency vehicles that were blocking each other, having a better look at the situation in the poor visibility and doing some fancy ambulance maneuvering and later off-roading over the median to the other section of the highway, we eventually made it out okay and safely to Chilliwack! Oh my, what an emotional roller-coaster that was! Once again BIG THANKS to our heroes (1st responders) for all you do! You guys are absolute legends.

All yakking about climate change but no on is saying that the flooded area was Soomas Prairie lake area that was pumped out to make farm land and the water is just reclaiming what was taken from it.

Wow this is very similar to what happened in Australia in 2019-20. Horrible bushfires which led to major flooding. We’ve had some flooding in the last couple days out west from where I am. I’m hearing a wet summer for us down here in Australia so hopefully not in the flooded areas we have already. Glad you guys at BC helicopters are ok and helping out where you can. Fantastic to do that. Hopefully the flooding subsides quickly and you can start rebuilding soon 🤞🏻

I have family in Maple Ridge and my daughter was explaining to me what had happened. Although they are safe, as a mother I can't help, but worry. The devastation is so moving and a heart filled message of hope and love goes out to the many people who are all affected by this natural disaster. I found the footage of the news to be somewhat unclear on the devastation and locations. I found your footage to be very clear including the geography lesson for those of us who are not familiar with the area, but have family and friends close by. Mischa from Pilot Yellow, you are a guardian angel to be able to provide so much help for those who are in need and stranded. This is by far the best footage I have seen giving such clear descriptions of what is where and what is happening where. Thank you soo much for providing the public with this incredible clear video footage. Be safe all:) Diane Foster from Pickering Ontario

1920's this was drained from a lake to farmland....we live further up the hill from the flooding, so we are okay; but my prayers go out to my community and friends who have homes/farms in this area. Now there is shortage of food plus Gas Rationing in our area and people are starting to drive further west towards Vancouver for supplies and gas, making a shortage there as well..

Watching the news this am, the RV fire had about 10 rows of new units untouched and upwind of the flames. Your fly-by shows 1.5 rows left. When they announced that the fire was ‘under control’ was probably because there was nothing left to burn. Thanks for this great tour of this rugged but beautiful Fraser Valley of BC💕

Thank you so much for this video. It answers a lot of questions and has helped to set my expectations, being cut off from my home in the south Okanagan. I'm lucky I have a place to stay here. I have to again take a shot at the corporate news media. I've only seen good coverage from private KZbinrs. I get it that flooded homes and displaced people are important and tragic, but the total lack of any video coverage of the Highway 1 slides (including the Fraser Canyon), the Coquihalla washout, and the Sunshine Valley mudslide are frustrating. Given that it looks like Highway 7 to Hope, then Highway 3 to the Okanagan are going to be our best bets for getting home to the Okanagan and really anywhere in the interior, I would think a little coverage of those areas might offer some vestiges of hope for people who are cut off from their homes. Thank you so much again.
