yeah but think about it. it took about a year for royalties to come in. you sold 5 million but you gotta wait for the money to come in that mailbox and it used to take about a year. you get your money back when you start working on your next album. the 2nd album is when the money comes because they give you a bigger budget because your 1st album made a profit and u paid the money u owed. ya dig? so 1998-1999 he was grinding. by 2000, the money came. they loaned them like $80 million when they signed. so cash money had to pay back money that was loaned to them by the label before they could start balling. the label gets you in the door...once you sell albums, you get it back the next album.

The last time I was home I was heading to East down Chef and I had to make a left across from that hotel (don’t know if it was Days Inn or not) but the 304’s were active holding down the Chef. Didn’t know PK was holding it down in the city like that, growing up I knew of pimps etc in the city but no mentions in them pimp type documentaries
