I adore your different favorites! It’s nice seeing Pokémon that may not be as “popular” getting some extra love. It’s super hard to pick just one for each Gen! I think if I had to narrow it down it would be 1: Bulbasaur- 2: Granbull- 3: Swampert- 4: Torterra or Toxicroak (too hard to chose between!) 5: Scolipede- 6: Tyrantrum (ironically enough, Dedene as a close second) 7: Bewear- and 8: Appletun!

QOTD: Gen 1- Porygon! I’ve always thought it was just cute and I like the low-graphic aesthetic. One of the only pure normal types I’ve ever gotten really attached to. Gen 2- Cyndaquil (and an honorable mention for Typhlosion) this one is mostly sentimental, it was my first Pokémon. Also, cyndaquil is precious and Typhlosion is so cool!! A consistently great starter line. Gen 3- Sableye. I love crystals, I love little gremlins, I loved the gimmick of having no weaknesses. One of my all time faves. Gen 4- Gliscor, my absolute favorite. Love the typing, it’s a perfect balance of cute and cool, and it’s anime showing was truly wonderful. Also, purple! This was the hardest one to pick, being up against Weavile and Drapion. Gen 5- Whimsicott!! It’s so precious and I thought it was BROKEN after my first play through of Pokémon Black because I just had really good luck with Hurricane. Gen 6- Clawitzer. Love the design and Hyper Launcher is one of my favorite abilities. Gen 7- Wishiwashi. Schooling is such a fun concept and I think it’s executed very well. I’ve tried to use it competitively repeatedly. Gen 8- Hisuian Zoroark, the only regional form on the list! The design is so wispy and cool, it has a PHENOMENAL shiny, and the Normal/Ghost typing is amazing. It was my most used Pokémon in PLA

Gen 1: Scyther Cool design and fun to use competitively with eviolite! Gen 2: Quagsire/Porygon-2 These two are less design based and more about their competitive use. Quagsire can be a monster with unaware, stockpile and recover. I used to love using a strategy with Porygon-2 that used eviolite, recover and charge beam. Gen 3: Flygon This one’s more sentimental for me. It has and always will be my favourite Pokémon. It’s got a great design and was a staple of my gen 3 teams! Gen 4: Floatzel Not much to say about this one, I was never really a fan of gen 4. I like otters though! Gen 5: Archeops/Serperior Rather a difficult one as I could never really pin a favourite from this gen as there are quite a few good ones. Serperior was usually my starter plus it destroys teams with contrary and leaf storm! I just love archeops design and the fact that it’s based on the archaeopteryx. Gen 6: Aegislash/Dragalge Aegislash is an awesome concept and very overpowered competitively. I’m not sure why dragalge, I do like it’s design and I had it on my first gen 6 team. Gen 7: Decidueye What’s not to love about a ghost owl? Gen 8: Boltund Didn’t have it on my original team but this one grew on me. I think I was put off by it’s pre-evolution given I know what it’s a reference to. It can really catch people off guard competitively as well!
