I'm stil impressed that Ding is such precise defender, when you look at the time used by the players, Ding ended the game with 1h on the clock

Right and he was clearly trying for a difficult defence with …O-O.

Very impressive practical defending by Ding. Great game. Watched it without knowing the result and so treated to a nice twist to see a fighting draw at the very end.

Ding will get up to speed soon. I think that he has often shown himself to be a slow starter in tournaments, and now he is also coming back from a long break!

That was a great video Daniel. You have a way of being able to explain the very complicated in a simple and understandable way, which is far from easy. When you add the instructional value that you bring and the unique insights into the game and players it puts you on top of the pile, in my opinion, for chess KZbin contributors.

I'm either old enough to remember that to find a good Italian Game you had to be back to the romantic era in chess, or I'm too forgetful to remember all the top level games from the 50s (or 20s) to the 90s (or the 00s) in this opening. What happened?

The top guys drained the Spanish of life in a lot of the most important lines and turned elsewhere - in this case the Giuoco Piano. It offers more nuance and tension. Computer research has revealed that a lot of these lines are juicier than previously thought.

nope given black's precise defense, if white can't force a draw, then black will be winning by material. I guess ding is counting on that.

DING DIDN'T DEFEND SOOOO WELL, BUT MAGHSOODLOU HAD THE GAME IN HIS HANDS. WHITE HAD TO BRING THE ROOK TO F3 AND SWING IT OVER TO THE G FILE.
@avasti561

In which moment the swing of a rook was possible? The e3 square was most of the game defended by the black bishop from a7

Change your channel name plz. It's difficult to remember. I'm a long term fan. I wanted to search for it and really struggled. All the popular channels are two names only. I would love to see you get to one mill. Call it by ur name instead plz.
