Pin Trading with Cast Members in Magic Kingdom!

We went to Magic Kingdom and pin traded around the park, including with some friendly cast members with trading lanyards on! Did you see any pins you’re after???

Even though the CM lanyard had a bunch of scrapers I hope that checking them to make sure they are authentic becomes a must.

WOW! They have much better pins now than they did when I went July 2019. I didn't hit up all the locations, but the ones I did, didn't have a good variety or anything really cool. Hopefully they'll have good ones in December this year.

I have heard that Paris is very strict about pin trading so they don't get scrapers so hopefully WDW gets that way too. How wonderful it would be to see our boards full of real pins. Did the other cast members look at your pins before they traded with you?. Thanks for letting us know about a new place to trade. Thanks for your time

That would be amazing to see boards of all authentic pins! Hopefully one day they’ll find a way to weed out the scrappers but it was just this cast member who looked in detail

@@bridgetclement8167 you have to look for them to be on sale. I bought a 5 pack of pins from shop Disney for $7.50 in April. They run them on clearance all the time. Usually not that go but you can get single pins for $2.50 at the character wearhouse also. They may not be ones you want but that is the point of trading pins.

When I used to work at DCA, I was ALWAYS wearing my lanyard. I wonder if they stopped wearing them since c19.

That has got to be the first CM that has ever said that…I never have had a CM check any of the pins that are being traded. I’ve even found Hard Rock Cafe pins on the boards before!
