@@pinayenglishteacher I’m not sure if you’ve already covered one of the common slips I hear even among the so-called elites: “I want to know what IS the problem” VS “I want to know what the problem IS” Makes me cringe when I hear a mom confronting her child “Tell me what IS your problem” without any pause so I assume it wasn’t “Tell me.” (imperative). “What IS your problem?” (interrogative). When speaking with children or adults, I tried to avoid why and what but sometimes when you need to be direct and no sugar coating, I used why and what to express the intention clearly. The body language and tone of voice are very important. I tried to be in a calm and low tone of voice as much as possible. I enjoyed her lesson here. Thank you.
