Penelope was the first song I heard from this band, some 20 years ago. And this is the first time I’ve ever seen a live performance of it. Very different groove than the album during the chorus and it is awesome to see!

Oh man, Rob is great! You should check out some of the videos of another band of his, Optiganally Yours. Absolutely fun stuff (and very silly Rob Crow antics), and there's vids of one of their shows up here on KZbin. Also, love your Flint profile pic. I do try to arrive early so that I can get my tripod setup at a show. Pinback is okay with me taping their shows, so it's no problem getting my tripod and camcorder into their shows (or for most shows where the band is okay with it). Ask me when it comes closer to time for the September show and I should be able to to pack a DVD of this show in my bag for you, as well as the Masquerade show from the year before this.

Yes, they generally hang out near the stage after the show and do autographs, photos, and you can probably get a big bear hug from Rob as well if you want. They're friendly folk.

I was at this show. I thought it was pretty average. I just don't like the sound at this club; lots of echo. At several points it was hard to hear the band over people talking. There was just something really flat about the entire show. It's just my opinion. I saw a show at the Echo Lounge around 2005 that completely blew my head off so I know they can really smoke live.
