That feature, known as "Lane Change", was first introduced in Williams' Firepower, released in 1980. It was also the first machine to feature multiball, too.

(This game is from 1979. Soooooooooooooo...Oh, and a lot of EM machines from the 40's, 50's, and 60's have multiball)

I recently traded my Flash for a PIN*BOT. Flash is a great game. It is also one of the more difficult machines. Good playing! If we could still post video replies, I would with a vid of mine.
