That music is chilling, including that intro dialogue is quite clever and really sets the atmosphere. This would make for a really interesting pinball and a movie.... Then again, basically any Pinball M title would, haha. Would be a little odd to revisit all the tables so soon after you just did them though.

Yeah I must say the intro dialogue is really eerie lol and just the vibes I get from this table overall. Do you know which TCM movie this table is based on? I was thinking maybe it was based on the 2003 version. Honestly, playing this table yesterday is making me curious about which movie to watch.

@@NewLeaf88 I think the 2022 film if I had to guess but I haven't seen that one. Its not from any of the films I've watched from what I could tell. I would recommend the original or 2003.Not my favorite franchise out there but it's unique and the original was groundbreaking.

Is this usually common with slashers/horrors? Where one really takes off and then you have other directors or producers trying to emulate from that success? From what I'm hearing it seems like the original 1974 was the best one. I think its interesting when there are Franchises like TCM that make a ton of sequels and prequels but everyone says the first one is the best lol. I also read that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was not actually based on any real events but they just said that to attract an audience. I think that makes me feel better tbh lol.

@@NewLeaf88 I mean, studios always want to make more money so they're usually pretty quick to greenlight sequels. Especially with slasher and horror films since they're usually much smaller budget so its easy money for them. That being said, some franchises actually bring the same filmmakers and stars along for the sequels such as Scream & Child's Play and others like Nightmare On Elm Street & even Alien bring in new filmmakers with each new entry and for the most part, actually have a strong creative vision and take the franchise into new and interesting places. That being said though, there are some franchises where they just pump out sequels, some of the later hellraiser films or Texas Chainsaw are good examples and it feels like there's no integrity or effort put in.

These are good points here Dom. I also have to think the bar for horror/slasher audiences are not as high. That's not to say the movies themselves are not good but they are held to different standards imo. I think most people who watch these kind of movies go to them for the "thrill of the hunt" so to speak and the story itself doesn't really play as big a role as it does in other genres. I think story still plays a role in many horrors/slashers but it's not the main course. I really like what you said about the integrity and effort side of franchises. I think this can happen to any movie franchise as well.
