I recently purchased 3 EM machines from the mid-70’s: Space Mission, Argosy, and Aztec. I have no previous experience with pinball machines, so this video was a huge help in learning the basics. Thank you!

Astonishing! Reminds me of the inside of a theatre organ's relays. Now, it's easy to understand why these machines cost so much. Thanks for the look inside these historical treasures.

Thanks for this video. I just picked up a Freedom pinball machine by Bally. My 1st one in need of a restore. Setup looks almost identical to the one in this vid. Good job describing things and without this it would have took me forever to figure out how to get the machine open.

After watching this, I think I like the Bally score motor a lot better than the one on my Target Alpha. It looks like you have easy access to all the switches.

Very informative video. I am thinking of doing this type of pinball last as I have heard from a lot of sources that EM pinball machines are more harder to get up and running if I were to get a broken pin that needs work.

Muito bom seu vídeo. Jurava que esse modelo eletromecânico possuía um processador, tipo 8080 pelo menos para somar os pontos. No entanto é totalmente mecânico. Que interessante!

Excellent summary there. One question, if the pinball has power switched on, can you get electrocuted by touching stuff the way you do in this video? Should you always have the machine turned off if doing anything on the wiring, bulbs etc?

I am almost done with getting my customers Hee Haw from Chicago Coin done. And almost done with cleaning it as well just that alone was about 60 hours just cleaning the machine and cleaning and adjusting the switches. I did get it to stop making a racket so think that is pretty cool for a first time on a EM machine and not know very much about EM's. Only one's up to the HH was just Solid State pins two of which I own and always working on. :)

Great video, Question if you can help me. I have a 1971 Williams Jackpot machine. It is stuck on player 1 , ball 1. When I press the start button to go to 4 players the player wheel inside rotates as it should. When I press the outhole switch, the outhole relay pulls in , but that is it, it doesn't change to ball no. 2 and the ball stepper in the cabinet does not rotate either. All relays were checked for resistance some measuring more than others but all with resistance. Any idea what I should be looking at? Thanks, Bob

In his other video he forget to mention to spray Hair-Spray above the score reels and the over all mechanisms. It prevents dust buil-up. he said.

I have a question. When I push the front button to select one or two players. The chimes start ringing and won’t shut off. My grandson kept holding that button down and now this is happening. What do I do to get it to stop? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm 17 years old and my mom walked into my room and asked, "Hey, do you want a pin ball machine?" Me: Well, I mean I guess Mom: I really want it but I thought it'd be cool for your room Me: Alright Mom: your gonna have to fix it tho. Me:😐 Mom: You might have to spend a few 100 to fix it Me in my head: This could be a really good opportunity for a new hobby and I could learn something Mom: So, you want it? Me: Yep. So here I am. Gonna try my best to fix a broken pinball machine by myself.

Wow so that machines only made $1859 since the 70s? According to the play meter, and that’s not even enough to pay for the machine probably
