Standard 60/40 Solder burns at 414F. Soldering irons typically run at 600 degrees plus or minus!

For tip tinning, search up "thermaltronics tip tinner". It's just a little pot of what I assume is a rosin/solder mix. You clean your iron on your sponge as usual, and then dunk your tip into the tip tinner pot and it comes out perfectly tinned in just a second. It's cheap and it saves a ton of time when you're doing a lot of soldering.

Is also good idea to put on special mask if you are working on those EM machine since the soldering has lead on them and you want to avoid breathing the vapor. or put a small fan to blow away the vapor.

Decades of soldering and never got solder even near face, its heavy stuff, it goess down.. D unno what need to do to get solder fly up.. Or is this just murican "warn or get sued if some manage to get solder in eye"..

I think the solder could go up if you try to pull a wire loose that is somewhat stuck and it releases with a spring action. If there is still melted solder on the wire, it could fling a good distance. He mentions in the video how to avoid this and if you are careful, you are right, it shouldn't usually go up.
