If your button broke just peal what is left off and there will be a little strip on both sides left if you touch one of them strips with a metal screwdriver to the center it shorts it like the button did so you can still use it you just won't have the button I have a couple like that.

And here I an using aircraft avionics grade shrink tube ! Stole a lot from the factory ! Super thin and place nicely after a hit on the receiver

TBS style wrap is called PCV Wrap - Search on aliexpress/ebay the 5v VTX is 18650 sized but look for AA battery sized for the smaller RX type.
@smooth_ops29425 жыл бұрын
I just double side sticky tape it to the carbon where air flow helps keep it cool for the vtx.
@PinchTune5 жыл бұрын
Smooth_Ops I normally insulate the VTXs out of habit, even though I conformally coat. I might start skipping the tubing on some builds. But since I don’t normally kill VTXs, I haven’t been too motivated to change.

I've heat-shrinked every Xfire nano RX I have ever used. Zero issues. Mine or their tubing.

I try to make them great shrink in a circle. So there's a lil gap between top and bottom. If I don't glue antenna then I will zip tie heat shrink tight on antenna.
@leflamantrosefpv17254 жыл бұрын
you have to make the wire of the antenna over the RX with the UFL which is over the button like that no problem with the button, despite the heat-shrinkable sleeve, as it is (even the TBS, which to my sense is the best for heat dissipation ..), and it will not go nor press the button, and the UFL being bigger, protects the whole thing, by making the wire come out to the invert on the top. on the wire outlet side. (rx tx red and black) and normally once the first time, there is no longer any need to press the button, you have to bind with the tbs software, without radio and it goes by itself ...

This is all good info and stuff a lot of folks figure out through experience. I just did the same thing to a Nano receiver. There are some pieces of guidance that says you don't need the button if the receiver has not yet been bound to a transmitter. I can't even get the lights to come on on two of them so I wonder if there is a bad batch out there.
@PinchTune4 жыл бұрын
I've read and heard of comments like this, but so far I haven't been able to get a Nano Rx into bind mode without using the button.
@mikel34194 жыл бұрын
@@PinchTune I got an email back from TBS and they said that if you use a small screw driver to short the center and out part where the button came off it will work like the button. I have done this before with another brand receiver and it worked. It was tedious to do by yourself but worth a try. I did finally get one of my NANOs to bind by plugging up my Tranus and opening the TBS software. It found the receiver, performed an update and it worked. Directions from various web folks did not work for me. Don't throw out the receiver.

I tubed my nano RX too, it is bound with my tango 2, but the radio keeps yelling at me the 'telemetry lost' warning. Then after like 10 - 30 sec its says: telemetry recovered. And then it loses telemetry, and recovers it againg .... so on. However, I can still control (fly) the quad, everything else seems fine, green light on rx, lq 1:100, 4 signalbars ect. Could this be the possible issue? (Oh I swapped the standard antenna to an immortal-T antenna, but I can hardly believe that it would cause any issues)

Oooo where did you get that 3-1 and 4-1 tubing? That'd be really useful in some cases

sᴛᴀᴄᴇʏ ABSHIRE I’ve bought it online. I’d have to look where. It’s been a while. I bought a bunch and don’t use it very often. I think the last batch I bought on ebay. Keep in mind. It’s more expensive.
@skyrotfpv3 жыл бұрын
Great tip! I am more often in the situation to re-bind my nano rx than I wish I had to. You really have to push very hard in the tight space beween the UfL connctor and the LED light. TBS shrink tubes that ship with their nano rx are very stiff to push down on that button.
@maceliusfpv3703 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I've broken those. You can take them off and just short the pads when you need to use it.

What was the indicator that let you know your button was ruined, aside from not being able to feel the feedback when pushing the button down? Were you ever able to bind the receiver?
@PinchTune5 жыл бұрын
The button got stuck, so the receiver acted like the button was being pressed constantly. Then, when I tried to do something about it, I just ended up with the button in my hand. There is a method of binding without the button. I have to do a follow up video soon.
@KickPassingShot5 жыл бұрын
PinchTune Thanks for your reply and for not thinking my question was a dumb one. I have one nano which no matter what I do I cannot bind, so I’m trying to make sense of it. I wrap all of my receivers with the same shrink tube you use from Fry’s.

That's why TBS has the agent or you just bind from your receiver so you don't have to push the button

True, but that's these days. For the longest time Agent was only available on PC. At least it's now available for us Mac users.

@PinchTune4 жыл бұрын
Every time you update the Firmware in the module, you have to rebind your receivers. That's when.

@@PinchTune You don't have to press the button. You can bind over the tbs agent
@PinchTune4 жыл бұрын
@@HeraklionFPV Yeah, I've heard there are other options. I'll try TBS agent next. Keep in mind that sometimes you just forget to rebind a quad. For example, you update your module, updates some of the quads, but forget one. You then a few days later take that quad out to fly and realize you forgot to rebind it. Quickest way in that case is to take off the props, plug in a pack and hit the button. This is the only Rx I've damaged out of 15 or so of them.
