Thanks for this clear tutorial. A huge help to me for following the written pattern. I was wondering whether, after completing the circular yolk, the body and sleeves of the sweater could be continued using the "knit stitch", or would that give a different fit to the alternating front /back loop stitch that gives the textured look ?

Only what I found in the pattern that I need to make way more rows for size M befor I Divine for the sleeves, the yolk also has 7" but still it was too short for me. But the pattern is very easy to follow even for someone new with graph and written pattern

@@marysnook7278 I just continue to make it longer with the "background" colour and I add few stitches every few rows. Also I had to make more chains for the sleeves as they were tight

How do you suppose I could make this into a size med/large? I'm in-between those two sizes I love the look of this sweater I haven't tried anything with color patterns like this. I'm almost done with a top MJ made and I'd very much like to make myself this one. I just started watching this and you already made the rim of the collar and now your increasing with the color changes so I'm trying to figure out how to make this fit me. Should I increase maybe 10-15 more stitches in that row of increases. MJ usually gives us the math to figure out how much to increase for a larger size the multiples. Do you have that by chance? I'm sure your a busy busy woman creating all these patterns and such but I'm hoping you might know the multiples for larger sizes.
@BrianaK3 жыл бұрын
Because of the colorwork the increases have to be done just right, I have all the sizes with their stitch counts in the paid pattern, info here: brianakdesigns.com/pine-crochet-sweater-pattern/

Out of curiosity, how many hours would you say this project took? Looking forward to trying this!
@BrianaK3 жыл бұрын
I think I'm considered a very fast crocheter, so it will be different for everyone. I also film/write patterns while I crochet so it can be harder for me to estimate time. My advice is to not concentrate on the time, but rather enjoy the process. Sweaters can vary for crocheters between 8-30 hours.

hello Briana, this is such a lovely design !! How do you manage the different hights of front vs. back in a sweater? Is it achieved by the massive blocking? (I don't see additional rows in the upper back part of the sweater.) The body part seems a little biased, which would be normal with sc stitches in the round. How do you tackle this? Let me say it once again, the sweater looks absolutely beautiful
@BrianaK3 жыл бұрын
This is a top down yoke sweater, so the heights are the same from front to back. And if the stitches lean often blocking can lessen that.
@carabingham3207 Жыл бұрын
I tried to buy the pattern on Esty but doesn’t seem available in in the UK? Also I’m a bit confused is it 2 colour A one B repeat Then increase every 4th stitch on next round. Then 4 colour A 1 colour B repeat Then increase every 4th stitch Then next row back to 2 A 1 B And repeat the whole lot again?

No matter what I do the pattern isn’t lining up.. it slowly drifts to one direction. Ive started over multiple times
@krisfondahl Жыл бұрын
That's what the blocking is supposed to straighten out, at least it worked that way for me. I think that just happens, when you crochet colorwork. (not that I have any experience, this is my first big crochet project... 😅)
@jessthom1016 Жыл бұрын
@@krisfondahl I finally got it by adjusting my stitches. When I say drifting I mean.. drifting several stitches.. not just askew. I was somehow not counting right because I didn’t do the standard pattern size and tried to calculate the pattern based on stitches needed and it took so much frogging.
