My mother never liked this place being called DTE Energy Music Theatre. She's very happy about the place going back to its' original name.

I have a t-shirt that says I still call it Pine Knob Music Theater. I always wore it to concerts and and got lots of comments. Maybe someone will come up with a t-shirt that says I always called it Pine Knob.

I saw Poison and Cheap Trick there 4 years ago. Almost last year, I had the greatest show of my life there seeing KISS. On August 30th, I got Scorpions and Whitesnake.

PineKnob ! Always the best atmosphere to have a gr8 time . But how can you not mention Bob Dylan ! Bob Dylan & Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ,this was a favorite tour stop for them each spring .The crowds loved them . It always turned into more of a yearly party . Peaple felt the magic that always seamed to be present there. Hey if anyone has photos of these shows Please Share ! Or even leave a comment about your memories of the Dylan + Petty shows. DTE must be trying to cut back on its' spending to relinquish the naming rights to what will once again be called Pine Knob.

Pine Knob is a grossly inferior amphitheater to The Aretha (Chene Park). 40 miles from city limits that's insane.
