Thats got to be interesting to prune a tree with two other people, especially the volume of material that is coming out.

I read your book a couple of years before my one visit to Japan. It helped me to actually look at trees when I was there. Many thanks.

Great movie to promote pine prunning Jake.... got the feeling of a story in which every generation of niwashi keep the scisors and make this pine living , unpredictable "sculpture" throughout the years being strongly connected to the tree as time passes by.... got the same with my pines thoug they are much younger...sry for my english... greetings from Poland :)

I’ve watched my grandfather do it he never explained anything I just watched and as a 43yo adult I got it . Just like when Buddha taught one of his followers just by showing him a lotus flower. The pine tree represents so much it’s a tree that lives with us through our lives witnessing birth and death
