Would cans cut flat and over lapped be doable for a roof?
@cynthiacrawford15734 жыл бұрын
There has to be recycled ways to start fixing some issues with housing in America.

I don't know about that, but if you know how this process works I'm open to learning

I had an idea of recycling our cans after we ate what was in them.Of course using the water proof paper that roofers put down first.And cut the bottom and top off of the can.Then slice the can down the side and flattening it out to a rectangle.Drill holes a little bit smaller than the roofing nails that have the plastic rings on them.We all use canned foods regularly and most just toss them in the trash afterwards.There's multiple sizes of cans.I was thinking the gallon ones would be good for bending to go over the very top to cover where the two sides meet together.Like a roof cap.I hope I'm using the correct words to make sense.If you want my number to text or talk just let me know.

Yes please reach out to me, I'm on Facebook under my name Leo Yankton, I need as much help as I can get. I'm not an expert, but I've recruited people who are to help. It's something that needed to be done and we received enough to take the materials to Pine Ridge and leave the materials, equipment/tools and dump trailer there on the reservation from Lincoln Nebraska which is 300 miles away. I still need to go pick up the trailer and there's A LOT OF HOUSES THERE JUST LIKE THIS ONE that needs our help. Pine Ridge Reservation is the poorest County in America with the lowest life expectancy in the world 🌎 💔 they definitely need our help

I will find someone that uses Facebook that is willing to pass you my contact info. You are going to need volunteer laborers if this takes off and you have enough to buy materials to repair more homes, not only roofs and gutters, but mold abatement insulation and drywall. A people in poor health can not do their own construction, especially in the winter. You need skilled volunteer labor, too, Leo. I hope to be able to contact you through a friend's Facebook Thursday if not sooner. We can talk further then. Prayers fall down all around you, my friend, and all around your family and friends. Chief Crazy Horse said: ("prophesized") Upon suffering beyond suffering; the red nation shall rise again, and it will be a blessing for a sick world - a world filled with broken promises, selfishness and separations - a world longing for light. I see a time of 7 Generations, when all the colors of mankind will gather under the Sacred Tree of Life, and the whole Earth will become one circle, again. I offer my introduction as a closing, rather than an opening. My Mother, my Grandmother, they were part French, (I will not give names, as this is a public forum), my Great Grandmother was Blackfoot/Blood, as was my Great-Great Grandmother. I was denied that part of my ancestry by a more racist side of my family tree. It just is the way it is. I look forward to talking with and working with you, if that is possible. Hang tough, Leo, and stay smart! Also, thank you for taking the time to honor your heritage publicly. You show a lot of leadership. I hope more people take an interest in participating on future videos. I think it would be nice if you invited one or two people to tell some Traditional Lakota/Dakota/Nakota stories! No-one's really doing anything like that that I have seen. It would be cool if different nations could have channels for their own stories, and make someone that knows how to work with lots of people, like Robbie Robertson for example, could host something from time to time with 1st nation history buffs from different Nations discussing and comparing the old stories kept alive by the Oral Tradition. It's still doing it the traditional way. An Indian telling a story about where the people come from, and what our purpose is. I'd watch and listen! ;)
