Agremo does an excellent job counting trees, however its a little expensive at $2 an acre. The results are absolutely incredible though. I just mapped a 15 acre section in Baldwin county to test it out and it missed maybe 5 trees out of over 6k.

Thought I would learn something - but sadly no. Rather than 6 mins photos, perhaps show us how you added the red dots etc

The best way to try to count how many trees you’ve in a forest is maybe to use LiDAR data. If you want to try to work with LiDAR data you can dl data from opentopography and use the lidR package from R

Hi there Tom, are you sure there are not already available ML solutions for tree counting? At least in the image it doesn’t look that hard for an algorithm to catch every tree and do a prediction of where the red dots should be placed.
