Any chance you have a tutorial or talk about how to set margin trading? If I want to risk x% on the account where do I calculate that? Currently, my strategy has margin set and % account, but doesn't work with SL (it is short or long trade) so not sure what the logic here is, where is the risk calculated? And how is it communicated to pineconnector if it is not a set fix risk=constant number.

Hi Matt, Many thanks for the video. in this video, you downloaded the MT5 from your broker's website, right? Can I download the MT5 from the official website or I have to go to my broker's website (FXCM) and download it from there? Thanks

I have a question about fibs, money management and pine connector. I'm wanting to create a FIB tool that I can stretch between 2 points (low to high/ high ot low) where the zero point of the fibs moves to the high of each new candle after each close of a candle so the highs/lows are auto found until a retracement in price is made. On each successive expansion of the fibs a pending order is placed on the MT5 or ctrader or a platform that allows the connection to a broker is made with the correct leverage and money management on the account so specific risk is in place.

So, the metatrader software is the only part that needs to be managed by the user on their computer or on a server, correct? Tradingview and pineconnect operate independently on the cloud?

If I want to use a script I'll have created which allows SL, Entry and TP presented as horozontal lines connected to a auto risk calculation and needing to have this information communicated through pineconnector to a copy trader which in turn places this trade with my broker can this be done without needing to type syntax code for each trade manually?

what if my indicator gives me sl and tp price points, instead of pips? how would i write that in the alert message so my mt5 retrieves those specific sl and tp price points for every trade ?

@@rhodreque8155 no, and when i emailed pine connector they said there’s no way to retrieve those specific price points so i had to use pips. it might be a tradingview thing rather than pine connector, not sure if tradingview has that feature to get those prices.
