My birthday was 5 days ago. I'm 33 and I feel this comment a little too much. I'm an audio engineer and for the last couple of years if sound wasn't absolutely needed, I didn't want it around. Driving? radio is off. sitting at home? TV and stereo are off. at work? radio is off. I don't even own personal headphones anymore (mixing headphones stay on the console and I rarely use them. tracking/iso cans stay in the booth and I DON'T use them except to test them) and I haven't picked up an instrument for anything but work in years. The attitude from the beginning carries over with the statement "it's nothing worth me saying aloud", so then… why would they seem to need to mention the story of the song when it is not worth mentioning? Well, if you feel it is worth mentioning, it has some worth to you, yes? See when you least expect it, things will happen to drive you, inspire you, and glimmers of hope will appear for you to reach.
