This is beyond anything even emo esque I feel like Pinegrove is literally like their own genre literally in their own category they fell into the emo revival scene but I honestly think they are way beyond that Evan is like the conor oberst of this generation he is far from limited this kid could do anything in any style and it Would sound amazing and very original this kid is beyond talented beyond what words could even describe

💯💯💯💯 this album would've done great things for them if the pandemic hadn't completely killed it upon release. they had a great label behind them ready to throw a lot of money and power behind this album and then the world shut down and they couldn't tour to support it like it needed. @@JoshHinrichs-vv2ft Those chords are in the full band version, which is standard tuning and capo'd at the 2nd fret. But here he's getting to some of those chords by moving up and down the neck in what looks like an F shape. It gives it a little something extra, but I can't quite figure it out.

Drop d tuning. There's an open c but use your thumb to hit the second fret on the 6th string (c/e). For the f chord he bars 456 on the third fret and hits second string first fret. You can slide that up the neck for the A minor and G, But he uses open chords for A minor and G during the chorus. During the outro/final chorus he uses that c/e and then adds a b note before switching to the f shape (third string, forth fret) with his pinky. Happy playing! P.s. I'm self taught so I'm sorry if my terminology is a bit off/confusing
