Zhu has to return to his peak performance gradually. Don't force it. Because the injury is right on the wrist where Zhu hit the ball. It may take 1 season to fully recover.

The coach knows Zhu very well as his club Ecz was beaten up by Vakif where Zhu played and gave hard time for him and finally lead to his departure from Ecz.. He is not allowing Zhu who is the most effective outside striker to play every game, to take lead role as to spike often in order to regain her volleyball skills and avoiding any risk to Zhu's wrist post surgery recovery. But he said he hopes to utilize Zhu's 90 /100% fitness when it comes to CEV and CWC first quarter of next year. So far his plan is working well. They have realistic chance as their defense is in very good shape. When Zhu is well fit, the score line we saw today will never happen. Waiting to see her pipe attack;the best of the best.

@WieRies okay let me help you out with the game and with what happened at the business end of the third set: Zhu was playing as a starting 6, AND she received lots of balls in general, so it doesn’t help at all to talk about her wrist injury. EVERYONE knows that she had a surgery and so on BUT if at the business end of the third set (in which Scandicci was behind by the way), the setter repeatedly sets to the opposite than it is IN FACT poor decision making! We are talking about ZHU TING who is WISE and MATURE enough to care about her own injuries! SHE claimed the ball several times but still the setter refused to do so! So if a player (who by the way has had a solid game until that point) wants to have the set THEN she should receive the ball. Simple is that!! If she had been in any pain or had had difficulties with her wrist during the game, she would have easily told the coach and would have been subbed! But this was NOT the case. And she finished the game.

@WieRies you are completely ignoring the facts. you assume that it is because of "health issues" when this is NOT true at all!! There was NOTHING coming from the bench (Bartolini) did not even intervene, so I don't know why you keep bringing up his name. it gets even clearer that you did not watch the game. also, you talk about the investment and the money they put in zhu, but this is not the topic here at all!!! just a SIMPLE question should leave you to another train of thought: the setter decided to go for the opposite repeatedly (who did not manage to score) - and by the way you claim that is because of zhu`s health condition, than explain, WHY zhu received MOST OF THE BALLS in the final and fourth set. do you see why your argument does not make sense at all ;)
