I love the idea of the added forgiveness and lineup ability of a mallet. Have bought a bunch of them. Always go back to the Newport 2 as I just seem to make more putts with it. I have a LAB DF3 right now that I'm trying and it's great. But end of day don't feel like it beats the NP2.

Your evaluation of the PING fitting system was on target and refreshing! Well done. On the other hand, I did a PING putter fitting ($100 fee + the cost of the putter) with most of the same technology in 2023 and from a PING authorized fitter in Phoenix, AZ. The fitting was very involved and took over an hour. After compiling all the data and the fitter making several recommendations, the best putter for me was the PING 2023 Anser 2D all blacked out, graphite shaft, and with a P58 grip. It's beautiful! After a few weeks of practice, I started putting much better than I had with my previous putters (I got an excellent putter tip from the fitter). My Arccos Game Tracker stats have improved steadily over the past 1.5 years and I am a very happy customer with the putter and the fitting experience. I have been a three time return customer to this fitting establishment. So, it's not so much how money you hand over for the product or service. Instead, it's the value you receive in exchange. Your new PING putter is cool! Keep working with it. Your putting will likely improve with time.

Great video. It seemed like despite all the technology, they just let you choose your favourite type of putter as opposed to making you try blade putter, mallet putters. Was that the case or did they compare statistics across all types of putters and then guide you towards what works best for you? Either way, I think its far too much to pay for a bit of customisation. However I would say it is worth paying for a putter fitting, just not £2000!

Agreed, I thought you would do a load of putts then AI would recommend 3 putters and then work from there.

On the deep milling: I had a Cameron years back with that deep milling. The feel was awesome, so soft. But I didn't keep it because I couldn't feel when I'd missed it and kept leaving putts short. Everything just kind of felt the same.

Hhmm, yeah, succinctly highlights everything wrong with the world's current occupants. Completely focused on excessive, miniscule trivia. Ideal for a new shallow people's weekly or triviality monthly channel. FFS!
