Pete i really enjoyed this vid. Talking out course management, showing practice on course, and hearing you go through the same as us mortal golfers...it makes this game more relatable to you. Now stop hitting your 3 wood farther than my best drive

Great format. Excellent to see what sort of decisions a pro makes. Sometimes it feels like I'm just making random club decisions without thinking it through. Nice to actually hear the 'internal dialog' that goes on.

Cracking vlog. I find it really useful when you talk through your course management and justify your shot selection. Being on your own really helps the video in those aspects. Keep up the good work!

Brilliant vlog Peter; course management tips are always welcome. Of late I've tended to carry my bag with a half set of clubs and mixing the selection of clubs. Haven't dropped the driver for a 3-wood as yet but will probably give it a go. Nothing to lose and possibly a lot to learn / gain. Cheers

Loved this 👍 I like to play alone once and awhile and it always to turns into a combination practice/experiment session. I'm always talking to myself out loud which I love to do. I sort of become 3 people when I play alone. The player, the caddie and the instructor. Lots of fun 😂 As for me, I never pick a landing spot when I pitch around the green. Never turns out as planned. I just pick my wedge (usually a 52 unless high loft is required) and just feel it into the hole. Find my self getting a lot closer to the hole with the odd chip in. Anyways I really love these types of videos where you play alone and let the viewers into your head with regards to what your trying to do. Please feel free to make to make as many of these as you want 😊
@3rdgroove6 жыл бұрын
I also love to talk to myself during golf, sometimes even when other people are around me :-) Picking a landing spot is so important. Try it on the practice green. Then grade yourself on two things. 1. Execution: Did I play the chip/pitch I wanted? 2. Judgement: Did I pick the correct landing spot for the shot I intended to play? 2x Yes = gimme range :-) It helped me so much. It's structure, on top of which I can put feel. It's very successful.

Great video. There is a lot most of us can learn from better course management and seeing videos like this helps. Be cool if you could do a video with say a 10 - 15 handicapper with you giving them advice on what to do as they get in very different positions on the course than someone like you does.

Love the format of the vlogs, its interesting to hear you think thru your shot and strategies. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on where to position the ball in the tee box. I noticed you teed up with the marker between you and the ball. That would be too distracting for me!

Hi Pete, loving the content! Just wondering if there's any chance you could do a video on myroundpro, using it on the course and how you implement it into your game? I recently downloaded the app after seeing you use it and am just getting used to it, however I'm wondering how to get the best out of it. Not sure if this is a realistic request but thanks anyway!

I've started playing golf again after a 12 year hiatus. At my local Oxfam I purchased a set of Dunlop clubs with full set of irons,driver,3&5 woods and two putters,a stand bag,balls,tees etc for £25! Withington is my local course and I've played twice in two days and these clubs are shite to be brutally honest. The driver is ok but there's no power in the club and the irons are extremely poor. No distance or height in the irons so I'm playing a 5 iron when I'd usually play a 7 or 8!! Got the bug for the game back big time!! Going to buy some decent clubs, I've seen some Callaway irons. Great video. You look like Gonzalo Higuain! Cheers..

I would really love to find a course that's empty enough to practice three or four shots per hole ! Around here you hardly have enough time to play with one ball before the group behind are getting agitated. The other morning I arrived at the 1st tee at 7am & there was a 3 ball on the green, another half way up the fairway & a fourball waiting on the tee. Is golf less popular up there ?

I cracked the face on the PING G400 Stretch 3 wood TWICE. Got it in December 18. Cracked it hitting range balls before a PInehurst 4 day trip in March. PING sent me a new on after the trip. Cracked the second one within 2 days warming up before a huge tournament. I will never buy PING again. These face are way too thin. Ruined 5 rounds of BIG golf for me.
