PINION REPAIR - MAVERICK STRADA XT

Hey RC fam, Ange here with a review and repair on the maverick strada xt. It has a drive issue which is caused by loose grub screws on the outdrives, and fixed another issue which was the pinion and spur gear not in alignment from factory.
I HAD SOUND ISSUES ON THIS VID

Yes that is a very common problem with those and HSP cars, they share most of there parts with HSP so spare parts are cheap as, my HSP Breaker had the same issue until I remembered there was a special liquid called Loctite 🤣👍

Loctite is my favorite friend.🤣. And yeah I did notice , but didn’t mention that the diffs are literally hsp diffs.

@@angesrcs absolutely! HSP diffs, swingarms, hubs and almost everything else! 🤣 But that's a good thing if your break a part but can't find the Maverick parts 👌 And yeah loctite is awesome!

I have the Strada MT and had this exact same problem - arrived with many loose screws and no front wheel drive. Thanks for the video.

All good, I’m here to help. Whenever I purchase a new car or even a second hand one, I always strip it down first and make sure everything is secure structurally and making sure the diffs and suspension in oiled. 👍🏼🚗

@@timtams4547 you can get carbon ones on Ali express. Or if you good with your hands you can make one out of 5mm alluminium . Where are you located again?

@@angesrcs cool. Yeah I read a bit more online and it's seems the motor and speed controllers are handling it but the whole chassis and drivetrain are not made for that's power. I have a maverick Strada SC i haven't touched for a while but I'm thinking to get back into the hobby

@@wimpykidfan3922 yeah like I said I haven’t really had an issue with it but also if you haven’t had a look yet look at Aussie rc playground, he does the full review testing it out on a BMX track

Diffs are great. Full steel diffs and has no issues with them at all. Use a good quality diff oil and they will Lasts long time.

@@angesrcs hmm... Thaks for response. My diffs are dead after several runs. Maverick phantom xt. 3660 3700 kv. Maybe i will replace them for the strada version

@@jonnybishopmusic not at all. If you want, you can put a fan on the motor , but because they are so light , you will get a lot of standing up on two wheels, which is always good fun.
