When I sell stuff my collection, I think of the long term and if I’ll be upset not owning the doll. There are also times when I sell a doll that I know is worth more when I need the money quickly. When you said Marie Kondo, that’s exactly what you need to do when looking through your dolls. If they don’t spark joy, toss em. Also, Pretty Pink Poppy is amazing and you need to unbox her asap. Though, I hope you’re checking your dolls incase you need to send any to be replaced before the time frame to replace them is over!

I definitely see the Jojo inspiration. I was iffy on him in the box but he looks a lot nicer out of it. And the history with boy doll butts is weird. Ken was STACKED in the 60s, but they nerfed his ass so hard in the 80s and he's never fully recovered. Also I'm kind of surprised you haven't gotten a TOF Rebel yet. I've been dealing with a move recently and I had to box up some of my dolls and not seeing them has helped break some of that codependency so there's some truth to the Marie Kondo technique, but I know that I will instantly have trouble the second I see their faces again. The only dolls I've really had around me lately are my two boy American Girl dolls so I've been focusing on dressing them and I think it's given me a good idea of where to start pruning my collection. For instance instead of having all of the Fashionistas I like, maybe I should only keep the ones I love and give them more opportunities to recieve attention. Easier said than done of course and the idea of boxing up the ones I "don't want" break my heart, but I think it's what needs to be done.

I sell a good majority of my dolls regularly to give them new homes when I don't play with them. I've only sold 1 IT doll (Poppy) cause I didn't touch her, but my other 4 I'm adore and can't part. I suggest selling dolls that u feel would be loved by someone else or u no longer play with frequently

I just started looking at these. I collect the boy dolls primarily like the Mattel King Ocean, King of the Crystal Cave, Hot Toys Superheroes, Disney Princes … etc. So I love this one and of course the Merman one… and cough cough… the leather guy. lol. So I really love the Adonis dolls. I came across the Dracula one yesterday and OMG! I want him so bad. They’re so expensive though.

I have been collecting dolls for around 3 years, have over 200 dolls, and am out of space and need to sell. I have sold around 10 dolls, and I have at least 20 more on the cull pile but haven't gotten around to doing that yet (it is a hassle, for sure). I would be interested in seeing a video of how you decide what to sell. Maybe you could even do a live video and let the viewers give input. For me, it helps to group them into similar categories (whether brand, aesthetic, or something else), and then line them up and compare them to see which you are more drawn to. Like in this case, you said you would get rid of Thiago, but these dolls are quite different, so my opinion would be to keep both. However, if you had at least five dolls in a category, then it is easier to pick.

I sell dolls to make room for new dolls. Usually it’s dolls I haven’t bonded with. They’re easy. And sometimes over time I get bored of a type of doll, so I sell the specimens that aren’t as valuable to me. I also sell outfits and stuff that I don’t want. It frees up money to buy new dolls I really want. I love it when I don’t have to shell out net new money to acquire new dolls.

I have sold very few dolls. I think carefully about every purchase and I rarely fall out of love with them. Except on those days when I get a little manic & am like what am I doing why do I have all these dolls cluttering the house? I have far too many and not enough space from Barbie & Monster high to Tonners, WIlde Imagination, & a handful of Integrity. I don't buy a lot anymore but it's hard now that MH was revived and I bought all of the series 1 shadow highs. What I do not have is them set up on nice shelving. He's gorgeous! Contact IT, they may be able to give you a replacement shoe.

I like the Intergrity Toy boxes they don't take up much room plus they are easy to take out and put back in. I wish all dolls were like that. It's a pain in the neck to unbox dolls with all those plastic tags that go everywhere. He has bigger boobs than my Barbie's. I still haven't bought a Ken doll their are some i like. The only male doll i bought has been an OMG Tween.

i'm not a doll seller, but i think it would be fairly easy to know what to sell. It would the dolls that i never handle or pay much attention to, and have a lot of those. However, i would much rather give dolls away than sell them. Because selling things is always a bit of a hassle. People tend not to complain when they get exactly what they want for free. And it feels better to give things away. Especially if i don't care for what i'm giving away. It's like: Take this off my hands, PLEASE!
