I have a nice book of The Night Before Christmas with beautiful illustrations that I read to my kids on Christmas Eve every year before bedtime. I now read the book to my grandkids. Not always on Christmas Eve, but when I can.

I love it all but the tree is just WOW so beautiful, I love the ribbon, the garlands, ornaments and bows. The pieces you found to decorate with like the beautiful nutcracker, houses and I think their were Santa’s just add even more deliciousness. I love her room so much. I wanted to go pink in my kitchen this year, but other spaces to priority. A lot of the pieces you have I wanted. LOL!! I'm also envious of your book wall shelves. Our walls are a pain to hang anything on, so my son's are small. I can only put a few books up. Books that we both (he and I) are The Little Red Sleigh and Dasher. There's also The Giving Snowman. Not to be confused by the giving tree. The snowman helps others and they come back to help him later. There is also Bear Stays Up that my son loves. 5 More Sleeps 'til Christmas. And of course I'm gathering the Classics for him. He has a board book of the Night Before Christmas, but I want a hardcover classic. Rudolph and Charlie brown, he has both. I also want The Polar Express. I buy a few books for him every season. I'm looking at Pick A Pine Tree, The Nutcracker, and Zetta the Poinsettia. But he also LOVES cats (we have a cat) so I'm eyeing a few Christmas cat books too. The Twelve Cats of Christmas, The Twelve Days of Christmas Cats (different books), Oscar and Emmy's First Christmas, or Here Comes Santa Cat. I'm not sure what if any of those I'll be grabbing up this year.

I’m all for your comments on reading starting as soon as possible. I did so with my two children. 💕 Great decorative job! BTW- I use the museum putty to secure all my items on shelving. They sell versions of it at Hobby Lobby. I’ve saved many items from breakage ever since I lost an expensive figurine one year when it fell from the mantle to the marble floor in front of the fireplace 🥲

The room is lovely. One of favorite things as an adult is a lit tree with all its sparkly ornaments, no other lights on. Two thoughts - and you’re likely already aware of this - if you wrap a small rubber band around the base of a candle it will not wiggle. Also, have you considered getting an ornament each year that is all Brynn?
