a Random unrelated Comment: what if the Diamond size matters depending on how many colonies they have? Edit: Some Shows/Games/etc. follow a similar concept in how much power they have or gather over the time they'll grow in size PD has none so she's the smallest YD and BD have the same amount of Colonies so they're the same height WD has the most colonies out of them so she's the tallest. I think that would actually play very nicely into the overall theme. I mean, so far we have seen the bad of pink diamond being shattered like the other diamonds grieving, as well as the good of earth being able to live on. It's all about dealing with all the side effects of someone who plays a strong role in your life dying. Wouldn't it be fitting for that persons memories and feelings to still play a part in peoples lifes after she is already dead, in this case maybe even taking on a physical form by being shards spread across? I really hope something like this will be the direction the show eventually heads in. No matter which one that may be, it would be great if the core message could be preserved.

Wait wait wait. Why would it be a bad thing if Pink diamond is alive? How would that be bad for the plot and theatrical effect? I mean, I can get why you are upset by it, Rose not making the tough call of killing someone when she doesn't want to kill, But that doesn't ruin the plot or theatrical effect at all. If anything that opens the show to a lot of possibilities. For example, You mentioned that Rose just poofing pink and Yellow killing her but what about the possibility that Pink left and when into hide herself for herself? Think about it, The Diamonds can easily puffing gems with no problem, hell Yellow pocked one to poof them so what chance did Rose really have against Pink. Easy Pink is the weakest of the diamonds sure but we know Rose didn't have the means to shatter Pink. Plus, Garnet's story has a huge flaw about Pink you missed. Garnet said Pink didn't care about the living beings on Earth and yet she had a zoo of human. Why would someone who is destroying a planet bother saving some of its living creates if they didn't care? All the other diamond don't do that, Just Pink. What if Pink actually agreed with Rose, realizing what it meant to colonizing a planet, and thought, "Oh shit, I don't won't this." After all Pink is childish sure but she may have been the only diamond that thought like Rose and wanted to help her but couldn't because of her sister diamonds. I mean, in every flashback that took place in the past during the gem war Pink was never shown to be the one giving the orders, Blue and Yellow were. Think of it like Yello and Blue being the older sister who are being over protection and blow thing out of proportions withPink the younger sister too scared of how the sisters she looks up to would react. So what if Pink and Rose came up with a plan? A plan to fake Pink's death? A plan the would cause Rose to sacrifice not her code of not killing but the trust of her comrades? What is Rose help Pink be free from her sisters without anyone knowing at the cost of all the crystal gems being corrupted? What if that was Rose's sacrifice? The lives of the many that may one day be rescued to save one. Of course that is just my thoughts.

What if pink diamond wanted rose to bubble her because she was also getting a feeling and curiosity about the earth but she knew that if the other diamonds found out they would treat her even worse, tell her somthing like " your so weak you cant even keep your first colony (earth) running, your letting organic life forms trick you into not handleing business". Her making a human zoo would back up the fact she was interested in the earth, and why wouldnt she be since she is the defective one of the diamonds, and earth makes her realize thats ok. And for the war... She started it to try to proove to the diamonds that she could handle a gem who rebels or any other problem during colonization, but half way through the war, she realized that the war was doing too much damage to the earth and its lifeforms... So she confronted rose and asked her to bubble her to end the war and save herself from the trashtalk of the diamonds...........

I don't think it would be an awful twist if done well... but I think Steven was speculating, too. He's confused, as are we, by how Rose shattered Pink Diamond. How did she get so close in the first place? Where were her agates? Her sapphires? AND WHERE WAS HER PEARL? She didn't use the breaking point; she used her sword that only cuts through a gem's physical form, but never the gem. Garnet, Blue Diamond, and Eyeball basically told the same story. Even the teaser showed Steven questioning this. I do like the idea of Steven communicating through gem shards. I still am iffy about her height difference compared to Blue and Yellow Diamond though, because Connie's consciousness also affected the dream.

The Diamonds still thought she was dead so of course they’d mourn and Rose May not have shattered pink but in a sense she still stole her life by making her entire family think she’s dead and abducting her and keeping her locked up for centuries that’s low-key screwed up all on its own.Rose is still the person the person who makes hard decisions just from a different angle.

It’s mostly that this show has been going on and on and on and on and on about how Rose killed PD and how she wasn’t as good as we thought she was, and Steven has been trying to cope with that and accepting his mother’s decisions has literally shaped who he is now. It’s that they already pounded us in the face with this “truth” that Rose killed PD, and for PD to not actually be dead, it’d kinda render a lot of what the show has done to be way less impactful.

I don't think she's alive as in alive-alive. What I think what Steven means is that he's sensing the Teeny Little semi conciousness, that gemshards are known for. That's why he doesn't feel and see Things about Pink Diamond all the time like he did when he felt Blue's grief. I think, since Pink Diamond was a Diamond, regardless of overcooked or not, must have had a stronger and more powerful conciousness than common gems. So I think the parts of her shards that carry parts of her conciousness (the semi conciousness) might resonate stronger than other gemshards. That way, he could've had access to the shards' memories. I don't know, it's just a thought.

I had a thought like this once... That Rose had fused with just a small shard of Pink after shattering. The cluster proved such a thing was possible. People. Pink being alive is one of oldest theory there is. It is kind of obvious if you think about it.. what is definitive ability of diamonds after all? Why existence of gem civilization itself depend on diamonds? It is because they are boordmothers! They do create other gems possessing ability to manipulate life. This show don't even try hide that.

I think that a cool conclusion would be that pink diamond's shards were scattered across the galaxy in several different places by the diamonds, and there would be an arc where Lars takes Steven to go find said shards, seeing flashbacks like in jungle moon, leading up to seeing pink's shattering. Some locations could be The Crystal Gems already have one, so the burning room The bubble room or a secret room in the zoo The jungle moon base (Placed by yellow in memory of how even though they fought, she still loved pink and also an Explanation as to how Stevonnie saw a vision there) Pink diamond's palanquin The treasure chest in Lion's mane There could also be a few more locations, and though this is very unlikely, I really like this idea and I think that it could make for a cool story arc and plenty of fan speculation

Okay, so I don't really remember the Bismuth episode, but I don't think she made weapons for the other (surviving) Crystal Gems. They seem to only use weapons manifested from their gems, while Rose's sword is a physical piece of forged weaponry. It's possible that the truth of the sword/weapons designed by Bismuth died with the other Crystal Gems. And hearing that Rose shattered PD, they might just assume her sword the exception.

While I wouldn't put it past the Crewniverse to come up with a bizarre reincarnation thing, two things are certain: 1. Pink Diamond disappeared and it LOOKED like she was shattered. I do think Rose was the one who shattered her, but I also think that Zircon had a point: only a diamond could shatter another diamond. Bismuth created the sword to poof gems, so I think the most likely scenario is that Rose originally intended to poof Pink Diamond, but accidentally shattered her because someone else weakened her beforehand. Furthermore, considering that Pink had confidence issues due to being smaller (the way she treats her subjects is likely a facade brought on due to her feeling inferior to the other diamonds) than the other diamonds, it's highly plausible that she was the one who did something to weaken herself and then she LET Rose shatter her. and 2. Steven has the ability to access the memories of ANY of the diamonds. The colony he was on appeared to be one of Yellow Diamond's and he likely was accessing the memories of Yellow which resurfaced after the trial. Yellow Diamond is hiding the fact that she feels guilty for the way she treated Pink through her anger and I think this may serve as a catalyst for him to reach a truce with the diamonds, as well as solve the mystery of who really was behind the shattering. It's obvious that Yellow will eventually show up on Earth because once she finds out the Cluster has been deactivated, she will want to find another way to destroy the world and I think Steven revealing the truth to her will cause the Diamonds to leave the earth alone. Based on this, I think that Rose took the fall for the incident and just decided to stay on Earth, protecting it while not telling any of the other Crystal Gems the truth. Greg said that there were even some things Rose didn't tell him, likely due to her guilt and this would explain why Pearl was unable to say anything and why Bismuth stayed in her bubble for so long. However, I also think that she felt guilt over what happened and that Pink will be brought back somehow. I seriously doubt Steven would say "maybe she's still alive" if her shards were not still around somewhere and perhaps finding the cure for corruption (and his new healing powers) will give him a way to bring her back.

P.S. Steven thinking Pink Diamond is still alive was suggested by him for two reasons: 1. Steven is still young and now that he knows there is more to the story of Pink's shattering, his child-like innocence wants to believe that he was accessing the memories of Pink Diamond. Steven likely was just accessing the memories of Yellow Diamond and given one more hint he needs to protect Earth from the Diamonds. Steven shows empathy towards them but he also doesn't want a war. Steven does not want a conflict because the Diamonds are just grieving the loss of their loved one and finding out that Pink is still alive would be the easiest solution to this. and 2. Regardless of the truth regarding Pink's whereabouts, Steven wants to find a way to make peace with the Diamonds and figure out WHY they thought Rose shattered Pink. In real life, the only thing that can shatter a diamond is ANOTHER diamond, we haven't heard anything about White Diamond yet, and Pink has been shown to have an inferiority complex due to her small stature. Rose's sword can normally only destroy a gem's physical form, but since Bismuth was poofed before it was revealed that a cracked gem cannot regenerate, it's possible that something happened to Pink that weakened her enough for Rose to shatter her. We were shown what happens when a gem is cracked with Amethyst and Amethyst has similar personality traits to Pink. I don't think the theory that "Amethyst is Pink's reincarnation" is true, but I do think that her shards are still out there. Perhaps something happened to Pink that caused her gem to become weaker and taking the hit from Rose's sword caused her to shatter. Furthermore, we don't know where her shards are and while I think the Diamonds kept most of the shards, perhaps Rose hid one of the shards out of guilt.

Highly doubtful that she is still alive. However one thing to note is that if your theory on pink diamonds shards being hidden away is correct then what about this? What if Steven had that dream because he was near one of her shards hidden in the jungle moon base (A moment where she had a big emotional episode with yellow) they might have hid the shards in locations like that and since we already have evidence that shards can feel and are still technically alive Steven/stevonnie only got a small fragment of the past through that shard (And how Convenient was it that they where attacked and rescued before stevonnie could sleep one more night there?Perhaps to keep them and thus us from learning the truth?)

What if Pink Diamond faked her death? What if she is still alive on some distant planet with her own colony and base? We know there were gems that look like Pink's gem (bubbled in the temple). What if a gem like that with the same gem placement sacrificed herself for her diamond, giving her and some of her entourage to escape in one of her ships. We know gems can shapeshift. What if one of her sapphires predicted Rose Quartz's attack, told her diamond, who descided to fake her death with a gem who was willing to sacrifice herself for the safety of her diamond. Pink Diamond wanted respect from her fellow diamonds, so what better way than to fake her own death, escape to some distant planet, allow her colony to grow until she thinks it's big enough, then make a surprise return back to Homeworld, showing the other diamonds how much she had grown and matured on those many years alone without a diamond figure to help her when she really needed them. This theory just popped into my head one day for some reason, but it is reasonable in some way.

Wait wait, would pink diamond being alive really be such a bad thing? I know, you have very good reasons; still, let's think about it: the gems have already accepted the fact that Rose commited murder, Steven has already accepted the fact her mom wasn't perfect, we all saw a face of Rose and see her as a revolutionary that is ready to do anything for her freedom and her friends... except, that maybe she is not. Just think about it, if Rose actually did not kill Pink, then where does this put the revelion at? If the diamonds find out Pink was alive and prisioner in a bubble/lion/chest/whatever how would they react? If the gems find out, what would they feel? I mean, Rose has lied to them before, but this is a serius issue, it was Pink diamond murder that cause the end of the revelion and most of their companions! Not to mention that now Bismuth would be more right about blaming Rose for the lost revelion (lets be honest, 3 survivors, a wourld full of dangerous corrupt gems and all of the enemy leaders alive is not a win); and what about Steven? Sure, he would be happy to find that his mom was not a murderer, but now what? The moment the diamonds find out about Pink, more than likely, the war will start again, and Steven (a 14 year old half human) will, once again, deal with what i think is the worst mistake her mother could make, just because she couldn't make herself to murder a gem or end a war thet obviously got out of her hands. Sure, it would be a step back for some of the characters but man it would be reeeeally interesting for Steven's and Rose's characters (also, I've having a really bad feeling about Rose for a long time now, I don't trust her, so, it would be a personal point for me).

Huh? And another war broke out? Steven would now have to be the one who has to be morally challenged... to shatter? Or not to shatter? And the lesson of how far can his morals take him? Are they enough? To end a war ? Or would he have to do the unspeakable like so many in history to end such a great suffering... would face a Sophie choice?? Lets face it, homeworld may not know that rose's sword cannot destroy gems. Rose would just as likely have used this to her advantage in taking down PD, putting up with the cost of being called a murderer as a result. If Steven is able to rationalise and consider everything he does, so can Rose. Someone who deeply believes in an ideal, something to fight for, would not willy-nilly go ahead and contradict them without exhausting any other path and opportunity she could take. Cognitive dissonance is much stronger with those who are faced with challenges that require going against their beliefs. What I'm saying is, while it may seem problematic to develop all of the characters into believing PD was shattered by Rose, that DOESN'T mean the development was wasted. If PD IS alive, it might not be as simple as her just being bubbled.

Pink Diamond being "out there" could have dire ramifications for Homeworld. If her apparent shattering was staged and Rose Quartz was just a convenient culprit, the truth would possibly cause the diamond order to break, resulting in a civil war on Homeworld. It wouldn't even matter if she came back. The ensuing internal conflict would shift the attention away from earth and the crystal gems in a heartbeat, while allowing for more complex character development for all involved parties.

I really don’t think they’ll go the whole route of PD being alive. I do however think that they’ll explore this possibility. There’s also a possibility that part of her is alive. Maybe part of her shards went down into the cluster or maybe part of her went into a gem mutant. Who knows. But I do not believe they would throw away five whole seasons of build up.

I feel like her being alive would just be a cheap cop out, that it wouldn't change much... It's not like her being alive would solve anything... the Diamonds wouldn't be like, "oh, she actually wasn't dead... our bad." Rose still rebelled, she still waged war against Homeworld, and she still represented everything the Diamond Authority resents-- individuality. They may not have needed to launch their corruption attack if Pink were still here, but the Earth would have been colonized nonetheless. And in the current story line, I think Yellow would want the Cluster to emerge still. I think it'd be interesting for Steven to investigate whether or not her being alive is a possibility, sure... but in the end, dead is dead. And using the excuse "it's a kids' show, people can't die," is a bit of a weak argument. Kids understand death at a very young age; it's part of life. It's permanent, and it's kinda sad to underestimate a child's ability to understand mature themes like this. From the first time a mention of Pink Diamond appeared, I thought that Steven's mother could be her; But when I saw the Bismuth gem for the first time, I thought that it was not a gem but an artifact with which a gem could be degraded or altered and that was what Steven's mother used to stop being a Pink Diamond. It is that they gave too many powers to Steven's mother, and too much raw power (if at least it had been made that she had all those powers but as Sapphire she did not have much capacity for combat... but the enormous strength that he also had Steven's mother). I also think that it would have been more significant if Steven's mother was not Pink Diamond, it would even have seemed better if Pink Diamond had not been destroyed but locked up... or destroyed and locked away (leaving the possibility for Steven to repair the gem and revive Pink Diamond repairing her mother's "crime").

I am one of the people who believe that she's alive, but I don't think it's that siple really. I mean, look here. The first time steven conneted with a diamond was when said diamon was in close proximity to him (as in, same planet). We also say present happenings going through her eyes. Pink diamonds? It was a flashback, one that was muddled by Connie, but a flashback nonetheless. And it didn't even happen on earth, but in a PLACE pink was connected to. For all we know, Steven could get a similar dream from sleeping in pink's room! I do believe that she was somewhat shattered, but time and time again, the show implies that it wasn't rose who did it. But I don't believe in bubbled either. I mean, they should have a reason to believe that pink wasn't bubbled but instead shattered, right? However, we do know that shattering a gem doesn't necessarily mean they are dead in human terms, as shown in gem fusion, they still have semblance of a personality. It could be that this is the current state of Pink, shattered, but conscious. I mean, can we guarantee that she would completely disappeared after shattering? Steven must have a shard of pink somewhere with him, maybe in the sword, or the gem, SOMEWHERE. Cause while it doesn't do anything normally, it could react to places where Pink was highly emotional before her shattering. Like fragments or mementos of a ghost. So yeah, Pink was probably shattered, but she's still out there, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered giving her characterization.

One episode idea I always liked was for Steven to try to “repair” the Shattered remains of a gem (possibly of one he shattered) through the gym fusion method that created the gym zombies, probably (and preferably) with the help of peridot (after persistent pleading) which would inevitably go wrong. I think finding Pink diamond’s remains would be the perfect opportunity to do this concept (you know considering how his mother shattered her). Also I think One Way they could theoretically make the whole “Rose quartz is Pink diamond” idea interesting is if Rose and Pink diamond swap bodies, this Could be theoretically possible since we know Steven can swap bodies with other people, there’s no reason to believe Rose couldn’t and after all what would be better to Sandra a diamond then it’s self, and it seems consistent with Rose quartz’s character up to that point. This could be interesting because while from Rose quartz’s perspective she would be sparing her life some people (such as houma world gems) May argue it’s a fate worse than shattering, after all pink diamond would then be in the body of the rebel leader does putting her against her own sisters and no one would probably believe her even if she told them because we have no reason to believe any home World gem (including the diamonds) would know about Rose quartz’s body swapping ability. This is just some food for thought especially the second one since I haven’t even scratched the surface no what I think could be possible with that second Thierry, and of the show could do one, the other, before or neither (though it would be the most epic trolling if they made and episode in which both The possibility that Rose quartz didn’t shatter Pink diamond and the possibility that Rose quartz is Pink diamond we’re both the Bunk’d)

I think the most dramatic scenario here is that Rose is the Pink Diamond. That would change everything about Rose and all that things we heard about Rose and his fight against the Pink Diamond would change radically.

Firstly, I dont think steven would want to mention that rose didnt shatter pink diamond yet because he doesn't know if the gems know this and it's another thing they are hiding from him. Second, if she didn't, it would greatly undermine the hope and power the crystal gems gained after the belief the rose did shatter her. Third, Steven could be taking it all the wrong way thinking that she wasn't shattered instead of thinking that someone else did it. Hes a hopeful kid afterall, and even though he knows pink diamond is bad, he probably really wants her to still be alive so that rose didn't shatter her and wasn't a hypocrite. I still don't think steven is at the point of fully trusting the crystal gems with this information, hes just skimming the surface of his thoughts. He doesn't want to be told flat out hes wrong and ignored like he was in the past. He's coming around, but the crystal gems need to earn his trust back after not trusting him.
