3:00 "It is a very violent album." Hell yes it is, which is why it's awesome. Roger gave Pink Floyd their violent edge. Their albums without him are vastly different. Dave and Rick are great at making soothing, comfortable music. Put all four of them together and you get magic.

I really like the dark feel of this album. It makes me feel anger about what I have done and what other people have done to me. That's just the feeling I get. Can't explain it.

Great album. I go back and forth between Animals and Wish You Were Here as my favorite Pink Floyd album. Sometimes it's Animals and sometimes it's Wish You Were Here. Floyd had one hell of a streak going starting with Meddle and ending with The Wall. The band was at it's best during that period.

My all time favourite album,,and I have heard many! David Gilmore's guitar playing is so totally unique for this album,,i know Roger Waters was the creator but Gilmour took the concept to some other place all together.Genius.

I agree, this is my favorite Floyd album, also....Without Syd Barrett having to leave and David Gilmour coming in to play guitar, Pink Floyd would have gotten nowhere. It is Dave who gave them their unique sound and was just as mich, if not more Pink Floyd then Roger Waters was.

None of the albums you mentioned seem overrated to me. But yes, Animals is one of the most underrated albums ever made. It is defiantly very overlooked. The funny thing is, it's actually the first Pink Floyd album I ever heard of.
@thehighllama8101
@thehighllama8101 Жыл бұрын
@@allsystemsgo8678 For one thing, I think Animals gets overlooked because of it's sound quality and production. I mean, the sound quality is worse than the Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here and the production is just sloppier; it just doesn't seem the group put in as much care into this album as TDSOTM or WYWH. Furthermore, Animals isn't as focused as TDSOTM or WYWH. I mean, with three songs over 10 minutes each (with one of those songs being 17 minutes), it's indicative of a group that wasn't sure exactly where it was going with each song, hence, they resort to jamming. I will say, though, that the new remix has made the album a better listen.

The way Roger talks about the album cover at the beginning is incredibly ominous to me. The way he talks about the doomy, "inhuman" feel of it and the way he finds the idea of power to be appealing. He sounds like he's intoxicated by the image. I can see why. It's a truly striking, disturbing album sleeve......

I actually like this album, very much. It's great Pink Floyd, I think Roger was on to something, and this album scared me when I was tripping on acid one time. I got into the lyrics and understood what it was about. I felt depressed and frightened at the same time. Powerful Album when on LSD, give it a try and see.

are you insane ? listening to animals on lsd not a good time . here is one , shut the fuckin music off , go to the river , preferably near a forest , collect wood , build a fire , make sure you have supplies / beer and cigs . no pot though . pot can really ruin a good time with psychedelics . it doesnt enhance it it also doesnt mix well with it . why the fuck would you listen to pink floyd on lsd . i was at a party where someone gave a simple minded kid a hit of lsd and they put the doors on the radio . this kid started drinking dark beer and produced a weapon . it took a few of us who risked our lives to talk him out of possesing the loaded 38 . the first thing i did was lower the music carefully until the record ended and then i shut it off . psychedelics are not playthings. after we removed the weapon he pured beer on the walls and broke a mirror with his face btw .

Hello. I would say it's because it's not her place to decide if it should exist or not.
