Comfortably numb, second solo. Love this chord progression. It always works in a marvellous way!
@juniormiranda36399 жыл бұрын
well folks to the ones that dont know that chord progression has been played many years before pink floyd , not talking about the lead or melody of the song many flamenco guitarist played that prog years ago its been done in a minor b minor ect. no one has full copyrights of progressions if that was so their would be no zz top stevie ray vaughn ect. every one has full rights to use that progression as long as they write their own melody, and trust me ur selling ur self short if u dont try to write ur own song with it pink floyd did not invent that progression u can play write whatever as long as u dont use the actual pink floyd track , if u google songs that sound like cn u will see that progression has been used long before , also thanks quantize for backing , folks just have fun with it , peace out

I just had to say "STYLE" to avoid copyright infringement. It would also serve as a better title potentially drawing in more Pink Floyd fans. I play all the guitars and bass on all my songs and I use Superior Drummer 2.0 and Pro Tools 9 to mix.

i like this; very helpful; its not a "pink floyd style" backing track as much as it is just the chords from comfortably numb, but still very useful.

Great For Practicing Improvisation And Learning How To Move And Connect The B Minor Pentatonic Up And Down The Neck.... Mixing In D Major Scale And D Mixolydian (G Major Scale) .....Then Go To The Actual 'Comfortably Numb' Backing Track And Understand Just Exactly What D.G Is Doing....Look At The 6-5-4-2 Chord Progression And Chase It..Then If You So Desire...You Can Nail This With Feeling And Understanding........The Related Theory In This Song Begs You To Understand It... Which Makes For A Better Experience...And Don't Forget To Bend Those Notes..... Anyone Can Just Blindly Whiz Up And Down In Bm..The Solos In This Song Played By David Gilmour Are Played With Huge Passion And Emotion.....He Rarely Plays It The Same Twice...There Are Many Alternative Routes All Related To One Result........Great Impression Of A Great Artist At Work With A Great Piece Of Music.

Good work on putting together the track. This isn't really a PF "style" backing track, though; it's just a straight-up PF backing track of the second solo chord progression for Comfortably Numb. I was hoping for an original composition that captured the PF sound without actually being one of their songs. From the comments there seem to be a few others looking for that, too. Also, you don't have to add the word "style" to avoid copyright infringement, you can just say "backing track".
@lllTinyDancerlll11 жыл бұрын
This is awesome, thanks so much. Awesome track to jam with!
@ryancrane475811 жыл бұрын
Actually it's a backing track. So Technically it's a cover of the solo in comfortably numb and it's not even the same cord progression really. It may have the same sound but it's not even the same melody really. Having said that It doesn't need to be copy writen.

The way i see it is that isnt Pink Floyd STYLE that IS Pink Floyd. It's still pretty cool though. Is that some kind of computer program you create those backing tracks on? If so, what is it called?
@MajorPwnage9612 жыл бұрын
I remember at one point I was learning Comfortably Numb in guitar lessons, and I saw the progression was in Bm, so I heard the background of this and thought that. Haha I saw your sarcasm

I'm not going to thumbs down you because it sucks when legitimate opinions (such as yours) get hidden due to too many thumbs downs. But, I disagree. I think the value of this backing track merits its public use, especially considering the number of half-assed live "Pink Floyd" solos I've heard. Besides, he/she does very explicitly give credit to the original artist (as if anyone was mistaken beforehand). Cheers, Barry
