Pink Floyd "Bike" album "The Piper At The Gates Of Down" 1967
I've got a bike
You can ride it if you like
It's got a basket
A bell that rings
And things to make it look good
I'd give it to you if I could
But I borrowed it
You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world
I'll give you anything
Everything if you want things
I've got a cloak
It's a bit of a joke
There's a tear up the front
It's red and black
I've had it for months
If you think it could look good
Then I guess it should
You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world
I'll give you anything
Everything if you want things
I know a mouse
And he hasn't got a house
I don't know why
I call him Gerald
He's getting rather old
But he's a good mouse
You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world
I'll give you anything
Everything if you want things
I've got a clan of gingerbread men
Here a man
There a man
Lots of gingerbread men
Take a couple if you wish
They're on the dish
You're the kind of girl that fits in with my world
I'll give you anything
Everything if you want things
I know a room full of musical tunes
Some rhyme
Some ching
Most of them are clockwork
Let's go into the other room and make them work

Jerry luithle Triplets actually! I've been doing the Syd Barrethon for about seven or so months now too. I'm reading a fab book called " Syd Barrett - A very Irregular Head." THE genius behind Pink Floyd. Arguably the father of British psychedelia. The onomatopoeia, rhythm, rhyme, phrasing etc of this is near impossible to replicate with any originality. I was absolutely amused by the lyrics so I played this song to my friends. Now they know Syd as gingerbread man.

brano geniale .. Bellissimo simposio tra armonia e psicadelia. In questo Syd Barrett era maestro

First time I ever heard Pink Floyd was the night I first tripped on clearlight tabs. Friends gave me the run of the house and I liked the cow on the cover of Atom Heart Mother. Musical Epithany. Still one of the best EVER pieces of music written.

The laughs at the end, the clocks, the weird soundscapes. Roger Waters took these unpolished ideas, and turned them into one of the highest grossing, most revered albums of all time - Dark side of the moon.

Syd wasn't mad or crazy. He just did his own thing, and lived by a creed - "BE THE REASON WHY EVERYONE ELSE NEEDS THERAPY"

I realise that people mourn the loss of Syd Barrett and "What could have been", but has anyone considered what we may have missed if he hadn't left the band? It basically forced Waters into writing some of the best Albums in history. "What could have been" couldn't possibly have been as good as what actually happened.
