Kid on the Les Paul Studio comes out of nowhere on the scream in the first verse, and then plays the solo like he wrote it--with a little extra chunk-a-funk in there. He's going places. Bass player was a boss, too...

WOW I didnt think I was going to like this but they did great. The singer had the perfect voice for this and amazing stage presence. Great guitar solo. but what I loved the most is that they went thru the trouble of adding all the theatrics, the marching, the choir and all the voices at the end. It's that attention to detail that makes the difference. Now I have to go and watch your Time video

@@MidWestConcertVideo2 Not bad but the singner does not impress me and the guitar is a bit choppy, not smooth. But don't mind me I am very picky. The one that did blow me away though is The Great Gig in the sky from 2014. Now thats a VOICE, not quite perfect yet but dam close.

For several years, I've watched way more SOR videos than I should have - especially the videos you post (thank you for doing that!). Many of my favorites are like this, where there are already a bunch of kids playing instruments, and then they are joined by a herd of other kids who may be singing, dancing, playing rhythm instruments like tambourines or guiros, or just being otherwise supportive. My understanding is that SOR encourages the kids to be as professional as they can be, so any kids who aren't performing at any given time are either getting ready for a quick personnel switch-out or putting equipment up after they play, so I guess that's why I don't see very many "all hands on stage" performances - but I really like them when I see them!.

I'm pretty sure this show was one where there were more than one AllStars team and there were also several local teams performing sets as well, and there are occasionally songs where everybody in every band is invited on stage. I have a Rolling Stones song that I shot in Pontiac Michigan that was like that. By the time they hit house band and definitely by the time they are in All Stars, there are certain songs that all of these kids have played and know inside and out. Traditionally, the first show any new school of rock location puts on is Pink Floyd's The Wall.

I applaud anyone for attempting to cover one of the greatest bands of all time. That said.. Pink Floyd is one of the greatest bands of all time. We will never be Pink Floyd. We will never play Pink Floyd as well as Pink Floyd. We may master the chords, get decent vocals, and harmonize like the dickens; Pink Floyd isn’t just playing and singing these songs, they were creating entire lifetimes of emotions to be lived out on stage. I’ve been listening to then since the day I was born just weeks after the release of Pink Floyd the Wall movie. That was my intro to Pink Floyd and that movie has been my favorite for 39 years now.
