used to think this album was incredibly unique when i first heard it a few years ago. since then ive delved down pretty much all kinds of bands with diverse sounds from different eras, yet this album still retains an incredibly unique sound like no other. the little sounds in the background and the organ swelling in and out of the mix is just something u dont hear anywhere else really--and the structure and placement of the chorus is pretty strange too.

I think Syd Barrett had the most unique style of guitar playing I’ve ever heard. During the break between the 2nd and 3rd verses he plays a few chords in a random, flippant way that doesn’t even stay in time and tempo, but he makes it sound fantastic! Ive been a guitarist for 40 + years and I wouldn’t be able to pull that off! 👍✌️🤘❤️
