Rishabh, very well done and explained. I am building a 16-step sequencer for a friend who plays bass guitar, but I thought he'd have fun with it. He's not sure what a sequencer does, so I shared your video with him. It's one of the most recognizable sequences ever recorded commercially. Thank you. Very enjoyable to see you create this! Peace, Sarah

Love how close and great sounds to the actual original. Usually there is a Huge difference in the sound of the EMS Synthi and a Moog but here it sounds very nice using the Moog and near identical! Great job on explaining the design steps in creating the sound.

do you plan to do a video that shows how to make percussive sounds like the hihat sound or drums in general?
@charlessmith2632 жыл бұрын
Basically you use the resonance and cutoff buttons in a play-around to create a gradual ebb and tide in the "ring mod" effect---the so-called "sweep effect" of the modular synth sound in "On the Run."
@Kevin_MK7RSR6 жыл бұрын
This is great! I have always loved that sequence. I can't wait to try this on my Sub37

Nice job. You can also enter the notes in keyboard mode reducing the amount of key presses. Also no need to adjust the master tune to take . transpose down, use the keyboard in key mode. Keep having fun.

great video!! the only thing lacking here is the accentuated hi-hat/noise, which can be achieved with another mother 32 or any noise source that allows accents to be programmed on any step. thanks for the video!

you can do that with a single m32 with some creative patching.

Wonderful man. Thank you! Learned a lot! Would you recommend this one or the Minitaur if you had to choose one of them for its filter? Mainly for filtering and giving analog flavor to digital synths -pads running through it
@rishabhrajan7 жыл бұрын
I've never used the Minitaur but it does have 1/4 inch jacks for connectivity that you want. With the mother-32 you will have to use 1/8th inch cables to bring in and send audio.
@saardean44817 жыл бұрын
The cable is not an issue. I am referring to the Sound signature. But if you haven`t used the Minitaur there is no way of knowing which filter you like. Either way thank you very much for the info

So the notes are E - G - A - G- D (up 1 octave) - C - D - E ? Is that right? I'm trying to duplicate the passage on my Behringer Crave, which is not all that different from the Mother 32.
@robertsheffield4044 Жыл бұрын
I can't find the exact quote, but this reminds me of something David Bowie (I think it was him) said. The gist was that the first thing to do before using a new piece of equipment in the studio was to throw the instruction manual in the trash.

To make de hit hat efx is a combination of noise and the cv signal of the sequencer thru a ring modulator.

Pretty cool but doesn't have the unbalanced chaos EMS provide. Tried running this through my Crave and it was nice but not right.
@bluesinamajor Жыл бұрын
I think I know what you mean. Is it that powerful choppy disturbance that fades in and out, cutting through and coursing through the whole thing? It happens at the 1 minute mark of the Pink Floyd version, again at 1:58, and once more at 2:43. It's like a "whap whap whap whap whap whap whap whap whap whap" How do you get that to happen?
I've banged my head, hard, against this every time I try to make a sequence on this thing. I think the reason I was having trouble saving a pattern is that I wasn't holding (SHIFT) & (REC) a long enough time period (one second) see: #11 SAVE PATTERN in the Quick Start: www.moogmusic.com/sites/default/files/MOTHER-32_Quickstart.pdf The sequence was just blanking out, i.e. back to the one note default pattern.

on the run used an EMS VCS 3 speeded up,not a moog of any model!
