love the solos on Animals and whilst you could be right I think the twin solo on Dogs, just the beginning of it is without doubt the greatest use of just three frets on a single string (per guitar of course) in any solo, ever. I challenge anyone to disagree and suggest a better. having just had a play of it myself, it seems the whole solo can actually be played even if 5 strings broke leaving you with just the top E!! now that is bonafide creative mastery, genius level simplicity and purity. It makes the million note per second shredders sound utterly hilarious imo. its like Spinal Tap are the serious band and the other guys are parodying them instead of the reverse 🤣

@@garycole4287 No. Showy played bass on this one, on Sheep and on Welcome to the Machine. Roger played rhythm guitar on all of them live. The other modifications are Snowy on lead guitar on Have a Cigar. The rest is mainly dual lead, or interchangeable between rhythm and lead.
