They studied in no academy, this is the mark of their free originality. Today it could be impossible the birth of something similar and we see the results in a poor music market. First of all they have been a band, but the contribution of Rick Wright is still underrated.

There was a nice melodic JAM on the COMMITTEE LP that reminded me of a song I heard 32 years ago on the radio. This long lost Floyd upbeat track was 5 minutes long and had a baroque-like keyboard melody and a trippy guitar solo with some lyrics as well.Does anyone know what this song's title might be?

Rick Wright was the master of the Psychedelic realm; and since he was, then indeed he still must be! Long live Rick Wright. Check out the Oenone if you haven't heard it yet.

Wow! A classic! Love it when they do abstract ambient tracks like that.. Reminds me of a journey of surrealism in Art. Dali, Magritte ETC.. Wonder if they still do tracks like that these days?

Why does it all got to be so terribly loud? For me, frankly, its too loud. I just can't bare it. I happened to have grown up with the string quartet which is a bit softer. So, uh, why does it got to be so loud?

Well before Tangerine Dream and long before Brian Eno's critically applauded string of ambient albums, Pink Floyd was creating music like this. This track stands up just fine against any of that work (some of which is very good-don't misunderstand me). Yet the critics will tell you this album is worthless junk.

You should read some books. No, really, read 'Inside Out' by Nick Mason. You'll be surprised how much of a non-drug using band these architects were. I'm not kidding about the architects part.
