A held note from Roger Waters being crossfaded into the same note on a synthesizer.. This is crazy for 1977!! I'm blown away. LOL.. I'm a 36 yr old black man who clearly missed out on one of the best rock groups EVER!!!

Brandon Kelly Perfectly said. Sometimes we’re just not open to appreciate it at certain points in our lives. Then one day it just triggers something inside you and you want more and more. These lyrics are so relevant to this day...that’s the significant beauty of it. Pink Floyd’s albums like Dark Side of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall ...even Final Cut all transcend being just a musical interlude. The lyrics from Roger Waters are deep, emotional, and moving. I wish you well on your journey...enjoy and savour every minute of it!

The reason Rick and Dave probably didn't like this too much is not only as someone says that it marked the beginning of Waters taking over with his own agenda, but the fact that it's so political. I think they're great works, with both fantastic music as well as a message which is as important to heed as ever, but I can understand where they're coming from, both of them are much more about music for its own sake.

This was the first Pink Floyd album I was exposed to. Older boys played it for me thinking I wouldn't get it. I sat mesmerized. Telling them the meanings as we went along. They dug that I got it. Such emotional release when listening alone. At 59 years of age I still discover new sounds and meanings I missed before. Animals is highly under-rated. Has even more meaning today.

Satan is the one you are talking about. God shed His blood to be the once and for all sacrifice for YOUR transgression and inability to fullfill.Jewish law. It is the GIFT of God. Grace is undeserving favor. Simply humbling yourself before God gets you that undeserved favor, which is Grace. Satan hates you. Satan wants you to burn with him. In the END. Yeshua wants to release you from the grip of confusion that the god of this world has. He wants you to have eternal peace and JOY in the Holy Spirit. Catholicism is a pagan legalistic perversion of the new Jewish covenant.

The only Pink Floyd concert I got to see. Old Municipal Stadium in Cleveland during "The World Series of Rock" in June of 1977. The estimated attendance was 80,000. The flyover by their jet then they opened with this. It was kind of...trippy when sheep parachutes came down! They did the entire Animals album, took a break and finished with the entire Dark Side of the Moon album. Guess who had to drive 7 of us home in a 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne? :) If you look at pictures of these concerts you will see how Cleveland got considered as a city for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That said, I totally understand anyone who thinks Detroit should have been chosen.

Same here, the only live show of theirs, and it was at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix My friend got the tickets, and they were literally the very last row opposite the stage, up in the rafters. He got them there on purpose because he wanted to take in the whole spectacle of the band, the audience, and the various floating objects. It didn't disappoint. And I have a very vivid memory of the end of sheep when David is just drilling away on that solo, and all of the white lights surrounding Mr screen turned on him and he was lit up so brightly that you almost couldn't see him from the reflection of light. A splendid time was had by all even if Mr kite wasn't topping the bill that night

On Animals, Roger played bass on "Dogs" and I played bass on "Sheep" and "Pigs." For a couple of years, most of the bassline on "Sheep" was played by Roger in concert, when it was still "Raving and Drooling." Anyway, in the studio Roger wanted to play the rhythm part of the guitar, so we switched roles. David Gilmour 1998, "Bass Player."

I fuckin know right. Same exact shit right wingers always say to anyone peacefully protesting with a different opinion than them. And I mean actual peaceful protests, not the conservative sort with smearing shit on the walls and militias being charged with actual sedition.

Make time my brothers, your welcome at the church any time.the Church of Pink Floyd is within all of us so even if you hum a few bars every now and then you still practicing faithfully. for you see these gems are like beautiful hymns they are dark yet very uplifting.

Saw the Animals concert at the University of Houston football stadium during a tremendous thunderstorm. The pig didn't fly that night... great concert though. The huge racks of Crown DC-300 power amplifiers got a cleaning and a real workout that stormy night.

An almost perfect picture. The album had two tracks on side one and three tracks on side two. The photograph shows a vinyl with four tracks.
