I recently had a heart attack, two days later when my heart surgeon performed heart catheterization I requested that he play Comfortably Numb while putting me out for the procedure. N that they play Pink Floyd while cleaning out my Three blocked arteries. The catheterization n 3stents later, no damages from the heart attack. I figured if while that wire was in my chest should something go wrong I would already be in heaven whilst listening to the music that soothes the soul, heart n brain. Thanks to Pink Floyd for seeing me thru some of the scariest moments of my life.

@@stevefrenchize Thanks dude. Music is great medication by itself, several Dr's prescribed the full spectrum CBDs which goes well together most days to at least lighten my spirits, reliving some really good times in my younger years. Doing it day by day now - a lot of lost time in the last 30 yrs trying to figure out why I did not feel well - a small area of cancer in a bad space took me out. Mentally feeling well, physically another matter as the collateral damage is irreversible. Currently getting new exoskeleton fitted to compensate for the structural damage to the endoskeleton - ie getting full leg braces both legs - kind of like the polio braces of day old. Simple personal mobility is the next goal, sitting in a chair most of waking hours is driving me crazy. Sometimes I actually forget I need leg braces and stand up and try to take a step, then quickly reminded why that's not a practical thing to do. Great to see great music lovers, lovin great music. Stay safe and keep your family safe as we head into maybe the worst 6 months of the CV19 spread. And make sure to vote - YOUR VOTE = YOUR VOICE. This music is truly cross generational and as a 75 year old who came to Pink Floyd in the early 1970s, my son born 1975 has passed this music to his peers one of of whom met me at Jermey Corbyn rally two years ago and gave me hug and thank you for Pink Floyd - now exploring Roger Walters in retrospect - a man of the people as is David Gilmore.

How I miss performing...that feeling of being untouchable. When I was behind a kit, I was invincible. Laying cable, setting up, the sounds and excitement...being swept up in rapt bliss as the music you play swells your soul and fills your heart...watching faces and people change and soften. People forget problems when watching and listening to talented musicians. Music joins even enemies...

I watched a documentary where she describes how they called her to come to their studio, she walks in, they tell her the song is about life and death, she goes in and voila... She steps out and they are so nonchalant about it she gets the feeling they wouldn't even use it on the album ❤️ that's a once in a lifetime event... They could never recreate that studio version in my opinion, or is it just because that's the first version I ever heard?

Hello and a very "Good Day" to the whole World! It isn`t an essential necessity to be a "Floyd Fan", but people let me express it in my own way: "It sure helps 🤩😎🤗😍🥰😘🥳! Me, living the last few weeks before turning 62, sitting here, enjoying another mug of coffee, listening to this ingenius gem of music at kind of a moderate volume (my wife`s in homeoffice), but realising this could be the first time listening to it again perceive the words of the lyrics fully concentrated, makes me loving "The Floyd" all over once again! Thank you for each and every "Floydian Masterpiece"! Greetings, Love, Peace, Belief and God bless! Ingo 🙏😇❤🌍🌎🌏🚀🌠🌌

The lights go off. Everyone's had more than enough to eat, properly stoned, someone puts on the vinyl. It's dark. Everyone's lying around on the floor. They know what's coming. Soothingly slow, relaxing. Then TIME. The MOANS. By the time it's Great Gig people are going nuts. You can't see the others but you know, you just know. Someone thankfully gets up and turns the vinyl over. The spooky 7/4 and Gilmour's piercing guitar, every note exactly where you want it, where it's supposed to be, no notes there you don't want either, everyone knows it by heart, every note. Towards the end. Us and them and after all we're only ordinary men... The Wednesday last week.

From 1966 to 1970, Pink Floyd used a wider variety of sounds than likely any other band. In 1971 they figured out how to separate (and use only) the sounds that the human body feels. This is why almost all PF tunes from 71-79 take souls for a ride, like a beautiful drug.

They are so tight and so amazing! David Gilmour's voice is still so clear and the ravages of time has not affected his voice or his talent!
