@Thomas75s - After listening to some hundred hours of Gilmour's live work, can definitely say that your Improv reflects that of his handy work on guitar. What you're doing is pulling emotion into every finger movement and the outcome of that is just absolutely without a doubt beautiful. It sounds exactly like something he would do to change it up on stage to keep it "fresh and new". Very VERY amazing job, you should be extremely proud of yourself for what you posted on the internet for free. 10,000x Better than the guy who had "remastered" the time riff in the collab album "The Moon Revisited" w/ Shadow Gallery. Seriously man, never lose this passion. Fucking Incredible.

Seth B get a cat with balls!!!
@ronaldgraham45876 жыл бұрын
Your's sounds like a cat screaming 😀Don't sweat it mine was worse. It takes time hours of pratice year after year. Lots will say o I could do that in a few months. We'll that's amazing those over in Boston music collage say minimum one to two years for beginners 6 months for novice acoustic up grading to electric. Keep working at it an remember to look back one day when your teaching some one how to bend properly 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎸
@Marko_Djuricic6 жыл бұрын
Truss rod, fret leveling, string action, intonation.. Adjust all that and there will be no buzzing (cat screaming) when bending or playing high notes. If you are referring to "not in tune bends", then try bending a string slowly at first until you hear it's the right pitch. As time goes, you'll develop muscle memory to just know exactly how much to bend a string to achieve half step, whole step, one and a half step, two step and two and a half step bends. Sometimes you just miss the right pitch and you can easily correct that with adding some vibrato to the bend. And as someone said, practice on a B string at first and play a lot of Dave's solos or improvise on some slow backing tracks. Also you can record yourself and listen later so you can hear better if the bend is not quiet there and trust me when I say that if you think you nailed that bend, try listening to what you recorded, you might surprise yourself.

Great cover man! Could you do a video about your improvisations? Not just the notes you play, but more of the theory behind what you play--because you sound so original in your improvs!!!
@bilbojohnson91918 жыл бұрын
I mean, I see you follow the chord progression of the song after the big "improv" label. But, in your head, are you imagining positions to coincide with the chords? Or are you thinking of it note by note? You play so well; if you're able, please share how you got so good at playing the guitar!
@Thomas75s8 жыл бұрын
Hey Bilbo. When i listen to music i allways make alternative melodies i my head - not on purpose -i just doo. When im doing an impro i try to play what i hear in my head. If i loose "grip" of the tune in my head, i throw in some standard-licks. in that way i buy some time to catch up with my ideas. I don´t know if this makes sense. It is a little hard to explain. I have never been very theoretical. Have a nice day.
