What a wonderful memory and ii am sure treasured keepsakes. After shattering many glass ornaments over the years, I must admit plastic is easier but there is nothing like the beauty of glass. Oh sooo cute, those ornaments!! Did you also make those... what did you can them...'compotes' ? that you put the ornaments inside?? I would LOVE to know how you made them, especially the sparkly tops.
