I’ve found that sometimes bits of soap skin are helpful for swirls, because those pieces will stay a solid color and it looks really cool

So the “suspension” melt and pour is allowing them to not blend to one color even though they are melted?

sometimes, depending on its temp. The colder it isthe more it will not merge. Its best not to touch it once poured as it can merge into each other.
