@dinoDOTamino In the first edition of the first Pink Martini CD "Sympathique" there was this version of Bolero from Ravel. But after that edition the Ravel family didn't renew the license. This is now a rare piece of an extraordinary and enyojable performance, even if not in the "pure" classical form.

When the Bolero of Ravel was first played in Paris there was full house. When the bolero ended, the audience had mixed comments about the play as it introduced more and more instruments and a continuous crescendo until the final climax. So the critics asked the audience for their opinions. When Ravel was interview by one reporter, the reporter said that one attendance commented that he must have been crazy when he wrought this composition. Ravel responded that he was the only person who understood it.
