starting gel x when my stuff comes in tmr! I started with press ons and realized i could do so much more with a plain base and new polish (especially since the film on press ons tends to peel if you don’t put enough layers of gel top coat)

This video is so helpful. Especially for those that live in a city where the nail techs (at salons) art design skills are limited. Every pic you show them, "nooo...we don't do that here" 😒🙄 I won't be able to buy all the tools I need all at once, but I'm about to purchase at least 2 to 3 things I need per month until I have everything to do my own nails the way I like (practice hand and airbrush machine included). Love these!!! But one question instead of the builder gel we couldn’t just use the nail glue and top coat to add the glitter? Or would the outcome have been different? New to gel x and all this 😊

Another way to seal the cuticle is take some acetone on a brush and run it around the cuticle it melts and seals the cuticle

The part that goes onto your natural nail should be clear for proper gel curing :( but you could use it as a press on with normal glue if already painted!!

(Somewhat for my own personal understanding and maybe someone else’s… this is how I made sense of this when I was in cosmology ) possible that everyone else here just gets it 😅 a quick analogy for the nail bed and nail extension prep.. it’s like slip and score in pottery. When connecting two pieces of clay.. you typically wanna create ridges on both pieces where they will connect and then you add “slip” which is pretty much the nail glue or w.e you choose to use .
