Join me and Coops for the magical and world famous Carters Steam Fair, The flagship ground with all the steam engines running the wonderful vintage rides like The lightning Skid, The Steam yachts, 1960's Super Car Dodgem and much much more! What a truly amazing experience carters is, Its like no other Fun Fair in the UK and the smell of steam, the chugging of the engines and soft lighting is breathtaking. I love Carters fairs it was great to enjoy this with Cooper, He had a great time also, Join us for a less banter but more geeking out vlog with some exclusive shots from the middle of the Steam Yachts and up on the engine itself. The staff were so friendly and made the whole experience good.

Looks so cool and fun. Are the steam fairs more noisy than your average fun fair? Steam engines tend to be pretty loud.

Yeah I’d say so, Chugging engines and organs but it’s a nice loud, creates atmosphere, It’s not Waltzer Drum and bass music 🎶 and it’s the smell of steam not Weed 🤪

Pinkneys Green definately looks one of the best grounds for Carters...really scenic and looks as though the atmosphere there was great...nice to see "COOPER!!" at his finest too....could you please ask Jobe C when the Octopus will be restored and out on the road again?....God, I miss that ride!....I'm hoping to go to Carters at Runnymeade this Oct 3,so very excited about that...I just love a Carters Steam Fair...quite simply nothing else like it on planet earth!...Take care mate :)

went on the skid when Carters were in Maldon a few months back, its an awesome ride, especially when it ramps up, liked the chair o planes too, I know it makes some people feel a bit ill, but didn't affect me all, maybe on that basis I could do some more extreme rides and it wouldn't affect me? time will tell, not a lot of fair's around my way at all this year.

That beautiful steam Showman's engine is made in Thetford, Norfolk, my home county along with their Gallopers and Steam Yachts (made in King's Lynn by Savages). Skid made by Hayes Fabrications, so many fairs had these back in the day, now there's only a handful left. Those engines are lovely, we had some traction engines where I use to work but we didn't have a showman's engine, the smell that comes off them is amazing. Joby Carter coal dust handshake, LOL! Supercar dodgem track with Supercar "Italia" dodgems, nice that you're in the police car LOL! Dodgem tip: if you ever see a pile up coming up, use the rail on the outside of the track as a brake by skidding along it with the side of your bumper, helps avoid whiplash :) Lovely Hurricane Jets, don't know who makes those but they are lovely, must be one of the first flat rides to use pneumatic technology. Don't know who made the chair-o-plane, could be German? not sure, I love chair-o-planes, trouble is finding one! haven't seen one on my local fairs for years. Orton and Spooner Ark at the end, our maxwell speedway use to go WAY faster then that! we use to say on the tannoy: "lean to the right, hold on tight" as it was cranked up to full blast! happy days! Love Carters fair, shame it doesn't come to Norfolk, great vlog as always :)

Been watching all your vlogs never really left a comment but this is my favourite vlog go far. Love the old Steam engines the work that must be needed to operate and maintain these must be mega.
