When this movie came out, it was the height of Paris Hilton and others being famous for being wealthy white women. So it really hit the absurdity of this social scene.

@@lampad4549 people have less real problems these days, so we have to go out and find anything we can to complain. problematic means something that _could_ be a problem. if it was actually a problem, people would say 'problem'. the term problematic is mostly used by people trying to farm their social credit score, not understanding that none of that shit will matter in the next update.

I’m dying at Rizzo just face palming for 80% of the video 😂. This movie definitely has its flaws but I also find parts of it hilarious and as Benji mentioned, it’s very quotable. This movie became VERY famous here in Brazil, almost everyone here watched it or at least knows about it. I think most of the success was due to the incredible work of ours voice actors. This movie is a complete stereotypical mess that never took its own self seriously and that's why I think I could enjoy it to this day. I could understand though why it would be hard to enjoy it in today's day and age for the first time because the stereotypes in every direction are naturally problematic. You made a Home Alone reference early on in the movie and the villain in this movie played the dad on Home Alone😂

I was laughing against my better judgement. And you guys make everything fun. You work better than my antidepressants and tranqs combined sometimes. There are days where I just bingewatch your content and then I realize I didn´t need an anxiety pill because this content gives me endorphines.

Oh my gosh, I laughed so so SO much at your reaction to this! When I watch this movie, I’m quoting it line by line just like Benji! It’s one of my guilty pleasure movies.

It is not problematic 🙄 people today just can't read context and just have to let everyone know that They Know that something is right or wrong. So stupid, just enjoy it for the dumb fun that it is.

Literally like everything in it is deliberate. It’s a caricature of white girls privilege and behavior. Not meant to be so serious. I swear people always call satires problematic as if that’s not part of the point of satires. Making cringey, uncomfortable things to make a point about culture and society and the human experience

i mean i love this movie too but uh my generation(gen z) is what kinda pushed the start of cancel culture and we were either not born or too young to even understand this stuff back then, older people that care now, care bc they see the errors of their ways and there’s nothing wrong with that
@jojoBoo7371
@jojoBoo7371 Жыл бұрын
@@skyebrooklyn cancel culture is absolutely bullshit tho most of the time it either don’t work or people are tryna cancel the wrong thing, i agree that now a days people are more open minded and don’t let things slide rightfully so, but at the same time people do the absolute most over nothing and some people only pretend to care bout certain things so they don’t get cancelled, for every open minded person there’s a snowflake is basically my point
