Omg I have a similar story. I actually was able to use Pink as a way to get my hair cut short. Was 13. Mom was dead set on me having long hair but she loves Pink and I showed her how much I wanted her hairstyle and to try short hair and used her as an example for what I wanted. It worked. And over a decade later I am very thankful for Pink because that is how I discovered my preferred haircuts and was able to get it in the first place.

Pink will always be the rebel of pop. She was the anti christ of all the Britney and Christina and all the rest. This was a such a feminist hard core tune. Lyrics U + Ur Hand Check it out, going out On the late night Looking tight, feeling nice It's a cock fight I can tell, I just know That it's going down tonight At the door we don't wait 'cause we know them At the bar six shots, just beginning That's when dick head put his hands on me But you see I'm not here for your entertainment You don't really want to mess with me tonight Just stop and take a second I was fine before you walked into my life 'Cause you know it's over before it began Keep your drink, just give me the money It's just you and your hand tonight Midnight, I'm drunk I don't give a fuck Wanna dance by myself Guess you're outta luck Don't touch, back up I'm not the one, b-bye Listen up, it's just not happening You can say what you want To your boy friends Just let me have my fun tonight I'm not here for your entertainment You don't really want to mess with me tonight Just stop and take a second I was fine before you walked into my life 'Cause you know it's over before it began Keep your drink, just give me the money It's just you and your hand tonight Break, break, break it down In the corner with your boys You bet up five bucks To get at the girl that just walked in But she thinks you suck We didn't get all dressed up just for you to see So quit spilling your drinks on me, yeah You know who you are High fiving, talking shit But you're going home alone, aren't ya? 'Cause I'm not here for your entertainment, no You don't really want to mess with me tonight Just stop and take a second, just stop and take a second I was fine before you walked into my life 'Cause you know it's over, know it's over Before it began Keep your drink, just give me the money It's just you and your hand tonight It's just you and your hand I'm not here for your entertainment, no, no, no You don't really want to mess with me tonight Just stop and take a second, just take a second I was fine before you walked into my life 'Cause you know it's over before it began Keep your drink, just give me the money It's just you and your hand tonight

Guess she's glad she ripped off a lot of them from Martin Emond without giving him any credit, then. I was so impressed with this video before I knew that, and now I'm torn. It's still a great song, still an amazing video, but it's tarnished a bit by not acknowledging somebody who didn't get enough fame for his iconic work.

Pink is the kind of success story that encourages me as an underground artist with a small following. Seeing how she’s developed her skills and slowly blown up after seizing each and every opportunity she’s been giving has been inspirational! She has quickly become a mainstay in the industry and for good reason. She is so incredible! I know if I put in the work, I can reach a larger audience some day too, but for now, I’m happy being a supporter. My turn will come too. Salute to Pink🔥

At the time I thought that Pink had copied The Veronicas with their 4ever (song that obsessed me with how much I liked it) Then in 2015 I noticed that the first name among the authors of the wonderful love like you do by Ellie Goulding was Max Martin ... but wasn't Max Martin the president or art director of the legendary NY record label Jive Records that produced Britney, Aguilera, Nsync, Backstreet? there was always his name ... I went to browse the web and was in shock. He was not an American but a Swede who had written and produced most of the biggest hits of Britney, BSB, Nsync, Pink, K. Clarckson , K. Perry, T. Swift, Ariana, then Maroon 5, The Weekend ... to date 25 number ones on the American Billboard, 3 with Britney, 8 with Katy, 4 with Taylor, 3 with The Weekend, 2 with Pink , 1 with Nsync, J.Timberlake, Maroon 5, K.Ckarkson, Coldplay. Plus an industrial amount of top 5 and top ten. And in Europe the numbers are even better ... this song looks like 4ever for one simple reason: the same person wrote them ... The shock I had was due to 3 reasons: his songs always drove me crazy and I didn't have the faintest idea that there was always the same person behind the scenes. It is insane that an author is able to write hits in the 90s and is able to do it today. How the hell is that possible? The third reason is that he is Swedish like my legendary band: Abba
