@@hytham867 it symbolizes a hard situation like stopping doing drugs, getting out of a toxic relationship, stopping yourself from doing suîcide, being abused. ‘Where there is desire there’s gonna be a flame’ means if you have desire to get out and pass through any difficult problem you can do it while you have your mind on it. ‘Where there’s a flame someone’s bound to get burned’ symbolizes that passing that hard situation will make you make cry because it won’t be easy. ‘But just because it burns doesn’t mean you’re gonna die’ even if the pain is strong you will survive and thrive no matter how rocky the grounds are.

This cinematography is powerful, because she is not being abused, but they are reacting off each other, I gather from the emotion of the song. This is brilliantly done. She is still well strong and powerful, but the the message is "wont be pushed down more than I needed" will rise and conquer vibe. Really well thought out.

So I remember listening to this when I was younger but understanding it meant something...wasn't sure what it meant at least to me at the time. I remember listening to this after being beaten and verbally abused by my aunt and uncle. This song made me feel something...and I didn't know what to call it. Fast forward to now. Now, I've escaped their abuse in January and I'm working hard to pick up the pieces that is my life. I've went out and I'm getting work and I'm going to school. I'm doing everything they said I'd never do. And now on this day I've returned to this song and realized what it was. It was hope and that want I knew I had all along. I literally got up and having been trying and pushing myself to the limits to prove I am a strong independent person and I'm damn proud of it.

I was going thru a terrible divorce when this first came out. I had been disabled a few years earlier by a huge mistake made during back surgery and ended up in a wheelchair. My husband decided it wasn't fair that he had to work, take care of the house, cook our dinners and take care of me. So he filed and I got served papers the day I had my 4th surgery to repair the damage done by the first doctor. I was in a shop at a local mall when I heard this song for the first time. I ended up wheeling myself into a corner of the shop and quietly ugly crying. This song helped me so much. I hope Pink knows what her song has meant to so many women who have found themselves in a vulnerable and frightening place in our lives. +Hesitant Alien +Avery Mac --- Same and same!! It's amazing what we can endure and terribly tragic what we make ourselves suffer all at the same time. P!nk has a way to reach the very depths of love, pain, joy, and sorrow in our souls; our entire sense of who we are and who we are afraid of becoming. Then prying that piece of us to the surface with one beautifully, sometimes haunting, lyric. It is remarkably intimate, poetic mastery, and entirely too rare these days.

I didn't know him well, but he said that when he grew up he wanted to become a musician like he was sure. I saw that he died in 2018 but he is an inspiration to go after your dreams. This is my first time having seen this video so I will say it. The language of their dance is flooring and fits the message of the lyrics perfectly. The couple constantly drawn together by love and lust is twisted and hurt by fears and angers that are equally constant. They suffer from their love as often as they enjoy it. They are no less intertwined when taken by wrath then they are when by lust and even as things grow to their worst, when it seems they are mutually too distant from eachother to ever heal, they struggle with all of their energy to bring their hearts together. This is one of the best road maps to successful, long term romance that I have ever seen or heard. Many songs talk about falling in love but this one talks about the much harder struggle of STAYING in love. Of keeping to the choice you made and not letting the struggles convince you that separation is the only course. (I feel you typing the "but abuse" arguments. I'm not talking about those situations. Every relationship has conflict. Couples that last learn to accept the conflicts as part of the cost of keeping one another. To love when its easy is cheap. The truly valuable love is worth struggling for.)

Personally i think the dance represents all the fights and sad moments they had, the paint represents the marks that the fights had done, if you notice they both have paint on them which means they both had been hurted by the other but even after that they keep trying to be together because they love each other even when it is hard. Best song and Video:)
@xheidix197410 жыл бұрын
I think your interpretation is dead on! There are relationships out there that are just so passionate that it's passionate when they fight and when they love. It's toxic and addictive. One of those where people don't understand why you're together yet the passion for each other is just too intense to walk away from.

LYRICS: Ever wonder 'bout what he's doin'? How it all turned to lies? Sometimes I think that it's better To never ask why Where there is desire, there is gonna be a flame Where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned But just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die You've gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try Funny how the heart can be deceiving More than just a couple times Why do we fall in love so easy Even when it's not right? Where there is desire, there is gonna be a flame Where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned But just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die You've gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try You've gotta get up and try, try, try Ever worry that it might be ruined And does it make you wanna cry? When you're out there doing what you're doing Are you just getting by? Tell me, are you just getting by, by, by? Where there is desire, there is gonna be a flame Where there is a flame, someone's bound to get burned But just because it burns doesn't mean you're gonna die You've gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try You've gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try You've gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try You've gotta get up and try, try, try Gotta get up and try, try, try.
