Just like many before me, I also had the VHS of this That had the light up demon eyes and sang I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts xD This used to freak me out as a kid, never liked puppets since! Although I do still always sing "who wears short shorts?" Every single time I buy or wear hot pants in the summer xD haha, my partner couldn't work out where I got it from!!! Can't believe this episode is 2 years older than my mum! Let alone 47 years older than me!!! :O

Aww same. It was a pink video with the eyes light up red and plays coconut song. We also had another one. Pity that one isn't shown on youtube. The red lights use to scare me as a kid but also make me laugh too. This be my mums late teenagehood but my dad would have been no young than 20 and we use to sit and watch this alot growing up.

Wow I used to have this on VHS. Loved it then and still do now. These songs have stayed with me I will always randomly sing “I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts” from time to time and “Who wears short shorts” 😂

We had e VHS of this, bought it fir my oldest niece who became obsessed with it along with the Watch with Mother Andy Pandy and Bill and Ben videos. There is something soothing about puppets which every child enjoys. Nothing scary at all. just simple childhood pleasure and imagination. Wish someone had the Runaway Train segment of this video, I always loved that song.

I remember the series from my 1960s early childhood, but not individual episodes. In one way it is good to look back, but in another way sad, because when I first watched them my life had just begun but now it is almost over. I seem to remember that it was shown on Sundays about teatime, if this is wrong perhaps someone could correct me by leaving a comment with the correct info.
