At 0:45 there is a case for exd4 instead of Nxd4. exd4 is a useful central pawn helping control c5 and e5 and also means that a later Ne5 is a supported aggressive piece which could spearhead a future Kingside attack. Additionally once Ne5 is played, there are more attacking options like f4 and then even Rf3-g3/h3 sometimes. A very witty master called Tartakower known for quotaitons once remarked : "The great master places a knight on e5; checkmate follows by itself.". In this game a pawn on d4 would help secure such a knight.

12:52 wasn't it better to place queen on e5? ( just asking), you either force him to trade queens(or fortify, but lose rook on h8, and whole right side), because he cannot eat your pony on c3 (because if you eat his queen with your rook he will have check), if he trades queens, you eat his with pony(f3), then force him to eat your bishop with his d7 bishop, you eat his bishop with your pony, he has a check, you eat his pawn your pony that ate his queen on e5, and make him choose what rook he will lose...( probably wouldn't go as predicted). But I was just curious xD.. Sorry if it's stupid decision. Nice videos :D

4:34 All that does is get your Queen stuck. Can't move anywhere but back where it came from, or it gets taken, and there's no available move to get that situation resolved quickly. Queen to b3 was a much better choice, giving you a great line on the pawn-king diagonal, allowing for your knight to be moved at the same time (since the queen wouldn't be behind it anymore), and said knight could be moved to attack the same pawn as the Queen, allowing for a good attack, or the begginings of one. Especially if you got that central rook in play.

And finally, that knight move would also threaten the bishop on f5 if it didn't move before that, meaning instead if attacking further if the pawn is defended you could take a piece. In short, Queen to b3 was a good move/

When I said "allowing for your knight to be moved at the same time" I didn't mean that you could move the knight on the same move. That'd be a stupid thing to say. What I meant is that it freed it up for next move. Also if it didn't move in the meantime that black rook on c8 could be threatened by the knight move which would threaten the pawn next to the king, forcing movement, which means, given the player's level, in that situation he might make a mistake and not protect the pawn at the same time. And even if he did, that rook would limit the King's movements if it went next to it, or the Queen's movements if it went to its diagonal.

The twitch plays chess would be pretty simple to be honest, just type the chess notaition in the chat for example e4, Nf3, 0-0 and so on. Then apply the commands similarily to the democracy mode that TPP had, based on votes for the move. I don't know anything about the technology behind this but you guys get the idea. ^_^ I have even saw a twitch plays runescape, so if a game with that many possible commands can be implemented, I'm sure twitch plays chess can too.

No, the king can't move to any square which is threatened by another piece. i.e. you cannot move the King into danger. Also, no piece can "take the king". You have to trap and threaten the king by putting it in check. If the king can't escape your threat (check), it's checkmate.
