Arki, the best thing about the house - full supervision nila and c sir richard mismo ang kasamang gumawa ng bahay nila with the help of her wife. After 5pm sila ng mag asawa ang gumagawa. Floor, tiles, paint, garden works etc

I totally love everything about their house. Minimalist and practical din. Sobrang pinag isipan din at very hands on din silang 2. Iba talaga pag may knowledge ka sa mga construction ka very OC sila kahit small details lang they know what they want in their house and how it should do it they make sure the quality is the best when it comes to materials they use, on how practical for their living.

When I built 2 houses here in the Philippines, my main concern was strength against typhoons the roof top is solid concrete and provides a beautiful patio as well.

Some universities offer scholarship if you live in provinces. Maybe you can ask your local uni about that. Also, SSS does student loan. I myself had to get it, without the loan, i wouldnt be able to graduate arki. Hope this helps. 🙏

Am an avid subscriber of this wonderful couple...I watch Thier house constructions from start to finish...and Richard is so much knowledgeable on house construction and he meticulously do it with perfections....and he is not an architect nor an engineer...I think and feel he works in a construction company in the US before living here in the phils...but going back to Thier old vlogs he is working like pertaining to post...I mean electric post ...that's what I remember before moving to Phils....anyway thanks for featuring thier home....mabuhay!

I've dreamed of becoming an Architect,but,never pursued for lack of finances to support the necessities the course required for.So,I ended up to seeing and reading contents on YT and found yours quite int'resting to stalk and watch hehe. Am with all praises with how the Armstrongs took pride to start building a house with low-cost resources.With all the guts,faith and patience,it all paved with a superb outcome,3/4 of the credit goes to Richard hehe.Kidding aside,my admiration shuffled and turned, concretely,applauded this couple for a job well done.Ang gara ng bahay.

Sir Oliver, few questions about polished cement: • pag nabiyak/crack/chipped yung floor, same remedy rin ba sa pag ayos ng dingding? masilya pero pure cement? • kino-cure din po ba sya, like aalagaan ng chemical? my monthly/yearly maintenance? • yung counter top na cement, safe ba sa food yun incase ayaw gumamit ng chopping board or dough kneading? • prone po ba sa molds and polished cement?

Those toilet lids are common in US. They sell those on every hardware stores. Maybe he's just not aware of it or his is just a builder's grade and never changed his toilet seats. But every house I've been here has it. All of mines are soft closing as well.

The drying rack on top of the sink is a common design feature in houses and apartments Finland. Very practical and a good use of space.

7:20 besides getting extra tiles or even wood planks for flooring, it’s important that you get them all from the same batch so that it’s more uniform in texture and color as much as possible. Going back and getting addtl products later, you can run into completely different looking products even if it’s the same item.

The rock landscape needs a thick weed barrier (landscaping fabric) so weeds or grass does not grow underneath and the rocks don't sink into the ground during rainy season. Lovely home!

When the Armstrong family posted their house. I watched it till the end ;) I've seen these kind of houses from Enes Y. Etc Dito sa sg. Soft closing din ang mga toilets and 2 flushes as well ;) The dish rack we have that also. Sort of like that para efficient ang drying.

Love the modern minimalist house such as the bathroom, the basinless sink, and the kitchen sink, the design of the house matches the place where it was built. It is light & airy in the eyes & practically airy to keep the house open & cooler, especially in the lowlands. where can I find that basinless sink ?

9:20 so smart to put up a dish dryer/drainer above the sink. kesa ung nakalapag pa siya sa side ng sink which will build up more watermarks and bawas sa paglilinis. For me, watermarks around the kitchen sink makes your sink look more old.

That toilet is very common here in the USA. Our toilet didn't come with one but I added the slow closing seats more than 10 years ago. Even the two buttons for small flush and regular flush. Those has been around forever. Even the Bidet. Those has been around forever. I've installed those long time ago. At least 10 years already. The Bidet we have spray while you're sitting. Spray from under your puwit.

I think Mr. Armstrongs comments about soft closing seat cover and the two button toilet flush is just a banter as those have been around for at least a couple of decades, at least in my neck of the woods. I do love the overall design and aesthetics and he's right about the cost. There is no way in hell that you could build that house in the US for k$60K! 2K sq ft barndomoniums cost more to build just in labor. Liked the video.
